but he was getting good results which is what really matters.

You can see with all the results, when it was time to face a good side, England could not play nothing because they had not developed offensively.

It's likely only an announcement for now. The process may have not finished. It's like the racist insults meted to Saka yesterday night really scared him.
Nigeria cannot even come out to say for sure if any of the ejarias, lookmans or olise had changed nationality.

a strong side they held out till the penalties. south gate as built a formidable side that doesn't boast of quality players compared to the english sides we have seen since the late 90s. the coach took the team all the way to the world cup semis and EURO finals.
if they haven't developed offensively they couldn't have gone far in this tournament.

To be fair, My good friend, Sterling was the best performing forward for England at this Euros. Definitely was England's best player in the final third NOT Kane.

I know he dived and all and they didn't deserve that pen vs Denmark but in truth, Sterling was England's best forward at the just concluded Euros. No caps here.

TheGoodJoe:

Forwards not center forward. Chiesa was the best performing Italian forward. Harry Kane was best for England.

I hope you guys haven't forgotten Roma's new Golden boy, Niccolo Zaniolo (22 yrs) who couldn't make the Euros because of a long term injury.

That lad is another Super Talent. A world class talent. Note I didn't say World class "player." It's WC "Talent" (Note the difference before you come for my head grin ).

He is capable of playing as an AM or trequartista, CM, Box-to-Box and can also play on the flanks. His chance creation Abilities and goalscoring is tops. Those who know this lad can testify.

It's just so unfortunate that Injuries keep interrupting his rise. Imagine Italy with that mad talent alongside attacking options in Chiesa, Insigne, Immobile, Domenico Berardi, Belotti backed by a midfield of Verratti-Jorginho-Barella with Locatelli, Pessina, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Cristant, etc from the bench.

Ladies and Gentlemen... Only imagine. Fireful!!!!

So true. Not for lily livers, even though its always attributed to luck.

True. His individual brilliance was the only real threat England had. The rest were more or less mannequins with big names on their backs.

by jogging and expecting a pass, while Chiesa alone was making Maguire and Stones look like Fulham players?

Sterling and Saka were more threats than Kane abeg. If Kane was African, its all gonna be about stats in this tournament. Very poor.

Can't even run to scare C&B. Proof that none of the Midfield England took aren't half as good as Heung min son.

Kane pass that lead to England goal that alone is better than what Saka and Sterling did yesterday

distasteful? a team that conceded only two goals in open play, england played top ranked croatia and germany.

Kane had a decent game IMO. Yes he might not have troubled the Italian backline but his hold up play was effective in bringing other players into the game his role in that first goal can't be ignored. SG truth be told cost them with his negativity. Should have brought Rashford and Grealish on earlier to get at the Azzuris. England still lack that effective midfield controller. If only Scholes was 20 years younger.

hmmm good that means we can still get him but with this our NFF that arranging "passport" is rocket will they be able to put in the serious work to change Tomori's mind? let's just say I won't be holding my breath.

TheSuperNerd:
No was my previous answer and I've explained why before. That he was already 21+ when he made his England debut. And the rule requires one to be U-21 and to not have played more than 3 official games (except if in WC or Continental competitions which rules them completely).

Tomori at age of England debut (his only cap): 21 yrs, 10 months and 29 days.

But then, I recently discovered an angle to the new eligibility rule which I have been wanting to share when the time arises. It says...

"Considering the principle of legal certainty, the age requirement ("he had not turned 21 years old"wink shall not apply to players who played their last match in an official competition ... prior to 18 September 2020, the date the September 2020 amendments entered into force,"

Tomori's only cap came in November 2019. So that means the new rule won't apply to him. He can still switch if he so desires. The NFF can use this angle of the new rule to go after Tomori.

So yes, in a way, via this angle alone.... Tomori is still eligible.

Chiesa, Insigne, Immobile, Domenico Berardi, Belotti

Are you saying they are better offensive options that Kane, Sterling, Foden, Sancho, Clavert Lewin, Grealish, Bellingham, Rashford?
