Chris Armstrong and John Chidozie. Fashanu's case is different. He wanted to play for Nigeria but coach Otto Gloria bounced him from the 1980 Afcon squad, saying he was not good enough. Truly, who would he have benched, from Felix Owolabi to Adokiye Amasimaka, Muda Lawal, Segun Odegbami, Aloy Atuegbu, David Adiele and co? 4 Likes |

ecolime: Fashanu, Ehiogu, Agbonlahor and co were under Buhari too? Some of you should learn to take silly politics away from football. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Naustine: Thank you. Abraham overrate himself. If he joins SE, it will only be for squad depth not serious addition. He's not special than what we have at the moment. And Amaju Pinnick courted that guy like anything else. |

I sees Bukayo Saka going far in his carrier and becoming a world class performer and making over 100 appearances for the Three Lions in years come....and I sees him leaving Arsenal for a bigger club in the near future..... 2 Likes |

tunnex190: Serves him right??...because he chose England over Nigeria?? Stop being petty. The young man has a great career ahead of him. The idea of travelling round Europe looking for finished product to feature for Nigeria is very bad for the country. What happened to developing your own talents by investing at home?...This is why our local league is nothing to write home about. Local players know this and would normally leave the country where they’ll be better appreciated. Pinnick and co need to come back home, sit down and work hard to develop the local league. There are lots of talents and it’s shame that these group of young people get frustrated and venture into professions that are not their callings. 1 Like |

tunnex190:Nope, he is 100 times better than the ones that play for Nigeria just for playing once for England. He gets a salary/stipend for life just for playing for the three lions. He is sure of medical insurance for him and his family for life and will never solicit for funds on the streets like Rashidi Yakini just to eat or get a roof over his head. His children who intends to play football are given opportunities on merit and not because of who is their Uncle (Okocha and his Nephew in Super Eagles). He cannot be owed match allowances and bonuses for 8 months, while the ones in Super Eagles will threaten to forfeit a match cos they've not been paid and probably be rescued by an Asian or Mikel Obi or risk playing on empty stomachs . 2 Likes |

If dem play reach 10 times for England, make dem dey thank God. Their racism no be here only say their govt will pay them pension sha unlike Naija. Fashanu is a living witness with only 3 caps, he s still enjoying his pension till date. |
