You ain't see nothing yet man. years Bfr now Army recruits a max of 200-250 of Ncos per states. so you know how many were selected per state this year?? a min of 1,000 recruit some states like Ibadan, Katsina, Kano had up to 1500recuits. if we should multiply 1000 X 36 = atleast 36,000 recruited men/women this year alone despite knowing how military sacrifice this innocent folks. more will still continue to apply each passing year.

Used to have a toy of this jet as a kid. it's a Harrier jet.
We put 2 "B" Batteries inside and it would craw about the place shining red light.
It had a plastic foot under to raise and lower the plane.

Nigeria still using this old plane. It's not very fast by modern standards as the Engine is small.
It is capable of vertical take off and landing. The engine has to be small so it can accommodate the exhaust thrusters twisting mechanism that enables the vertical take off and landing. Hence the plane is slow due to the small engine.

That's what we get in thickly corrupt nation, we all think of looting first in every procurement or any project. The funny part is no hidden area for shortchanging refurbished airplane for new after budgeting and spending billion dollar on arm procurement. I only pity that it's not those buying it loosing their life but innocent officers.

A product of poor training!

Twenty four hours ago, punch and Nigerian tribune reported that 6 fighter planes were due to arrive in Nigeria to take on boko Haran and other terror groups. Today's news about downing of military aircraft in Nigeria undercuts any celebration relating to new planes arrival and boast terror readiness to take on Nigeria military.

That is bad news for citizens living in the affected areas because boko Haran and other terror groups are exploiting on the weaknesses of Nigeria military.

I think Nigeria should stop rushing to buy foreign military equipment until assurances are given that operators of these equipment in Nigeria are trained and can do the job effectively.

So, the bottom line is human error is the cause of airplane crashes in Nigeria, not necessarily the equipment.
