Note: (Application fee is extremely huge) There are seven universities in Iceland, of which three are private and four public. The largest are the University of Iceland and Reykjavík University, both in the capital city followed by the University of Akureyri in the northern city of Akureyri. International students make up around 5% of all students in Iceland, and universities in Iceland are generally keen to attract more international and exchange students. Many, especially the larger universities, offer a growing number of courses taught fully or partially in English, and there are good support systems in place for foreign students choosing to study in ICELAND PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS IN ICELAND ARE 1) University of Iceland 2) University of Akureyri 3) Bifrost university 4) Agricultural university of ICELAND Studying in Iceland is much cheaper than other countries in that tier mainly because the public universities here are completely free from tuition fees. Spider20:Thanks for the post. Are you currently in Iceland? Are there jobs for students? |
Re: Studying In Iceland 2021(a New Trend) by Spider20: 3:39pm On Jul 22, 2021 |
There are lot of jobs in Iceland for skilled or un-skilled personnel. Iceland is looking for migrants to fill into their labour market, lots of menial jobs with great pay are of high demand. Icelandic citizens are extremely rich, they find it abusive or weird to emigrate. 95% of Icelandic can boast of acquiring Tesla electric vehicles (EV) which are extremely expensive. EDUCATION, HEALTH CARE and other amenities are provided freely by the Icelandic government. 58,000 dollars that's the country average GDP per capita. They pay hugely just as their fellow Scandinavian countries Low employment rate, low crime rate and Gender equality are factors that attracts foreign investors in Iceland. Iceland is worth migrating to. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Their winters are surprisingly not terrible, and the most unpleasant days apparently last all of one month. I thought it would be bad like Finland. It's not that much worse than Canada or the UK. However, their low population, low number of universities, lack of infrastructure typical in Nordic countries, and lack of diversity are all concerning. If you can get free grad school, maybe it's worth it. But you're probably competing with a ton of people for like four slots. |

Wrong point. Scandinavian countries can boast of the best and quality infrastructure, Sweden,Denmark Norway and ICELAND all ranked as countries with great infrastructure. Cousin9999: |
