Hello Guys. Just discovered this thread. You guys are really helpful. God bless you all.

My visa got refused on Friday. First time applicant on the basis of ” personal finance and home ties”.

Please advise as I want to re apply for May entry as a self sponsor. Is this advisable ?
My former sponsor(uncle) said he won’t be sponsoring anymore.

Can I use savings and gift deed from mother (total of 10M)with 1year tuition already paid as POF?

For home ties - I can’t get a study leave as my company doesn’t grant such. How can i strengthen home ties please.

Thank you. All responses are welcome and appreciated.

Hi, I don’t know if this is where my comment should be but please pardon me.

So, I got my passport after a long wait and there was a mistake on the year of birth. I’m 1996 and on my passport it’s 1995. However, cause of school I had to apply with it like that. The school changed my date of birth and sent a new decision letter. I have done biometrics, I got refused. Now I want to reapply and I just want to do everything right and by myself. What do you think I can do about the passport?? The woman that I paid for this incorrect one said it will take up to six months to correct it and cost a lot. I am very confused about what to do. I’d really appreciate if anyone has a solution for me. Thank you

I think they’re working on their server because I got the same email even though my application has already been approved since last week.

As long as you received your full vaccination 14 days prior you do not need to quarantine. You can find the necessary travel information on that here https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/2019-novel-coronavirus-infection/awareness-resources/fully-vaccinated-travellers-covid-19.html

Thank you so much for your response.
I’d like to know if I have to quarantine despite being fully vaccinated, and if eventually I have to,do I get a seseparate Airbnb or I can use the normal student lodge I’m paying for

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by makano: 3:35pm On Nov 02, 2021
Hello Malcomsaint

Yes, you can apply as a self sponsored if you know you are financially capable of the Financial requirements of IRCC as regards your study in Canada. And as regards your Uncle not sponsoring you again, I will call it a blessing in disguise cos IRCC do not buy into 3rd party sponsors, in fact, you applying now as a Self sponsor is better than applying with a 3rd party sponsor..

You can use your savings and your Deed gift from your mum which I consider a good move, and since you said you have paid a year tuition, then you should have no problem re-applying to get your Visa.. But you will need to work on your SOP to strongly convince the Visa officer of these points with proofs to back your claims up.

For your home ties, are you married (with Kids), do you have properties, investments. Are you the first child of your parents? You can also used your parents as home ties.

Lastly, I will advise you order for your GCMS notes, so you will know the exact concerns of the Visa officer and that will guide you on how you can re-apply to get your Visa..

Peace

Hi Beck, you said the school changed the the DOB, from what to what? if you want to correct the error, you have to prepare to wait for the time and the stress of NIS correcting it. So it depends on you, this is a personal decision that you have to take, to correct is doable but time consuming and expensive.
Have you requested for your GCMS notes?

Mr Onaya

what has Grazat2021 done to warrant all this bruhaha?

I wonder how your SOP and LOE will look like with all these recalcitrance inordinates , anyways the Visa Officer shouldn't have problem as regards that... grin

Peace
Onaya:

@Grazat2021, your recalcitrancewas obviously inordinate and a stark display of vulgarity in the first place. The least I had expected from you was a total acquiescence to what most members of this forum had expected from you, regardless of whatever. This is because people's timelines enrich this platform with invaluable pieces of information that act as a torchlight on the paths of newbies whose hallowed journeys to the Maple Land have just begun. One more thing, please. Should I request my transcript first from my university before applying to schools or after I sent in an application to my desired school?

Thanks.

REQUEST FOR YOUR TRANSCRIPT COS ITS ONE OF THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION
