those things that are happening now we're already written down in the Bible thousands of years back. He said difficult times hard to deal with will hit the earth, wickedness will increase and the love of many will grow cold, he warned that there will be famine, different types of diseases, wars, natural disasters, wickedness in high places and a lot more...he admonished us to stay strong and fight to the end so that we will receive the crown of honour.

This are the last days my brother and Satan is even more aggressive now, fighting furiously and swiftly knowing that his time is up and he does not want to go down alone..even, more deadly times lies ahead as so much so that God promised the shorten the times if not even the very elect will be deceived, it will be so tough and agonising that the Bible said we should pray it does not happen in our own time.

All this must happen before the end....we are in the last days and the battle is more severe now than ever..

Before the pastor considers marrying again, he needs to go on dry fastings till God shows him things he does not know / see.

Check miracle services or crusades of Paul Enenche, Joshua Selman Nimmick, Kumuyi, Adeboye, Olukoya, Umma Ukpai, etc and you will be dazed at mighty miracles wrought by the power of the Holy Spirit.

This 'man of God' keeps setting a good record for himself. I don't think there is anyone in the Bible that has married twice and both wives are dead.

I use to ask the same question, until I discovered a few things in the bible.
1. From eternity God does not see death the way we do from earth. Apostle Paul says "to live is Christ, to die is gain". David says "Precious in the sight of God is the death of his saints". In other words, people death is not so bad for the person who died. It only hurts the living. There are very few people who will behold the sight of Heaven and decide to return to this earth.

2. God is no longer in charge of this world. He does not interfere in a lot of affairs. Why? Because he dashed it legally to Adan who dashed it legally to Satan. The bible says the government SHALL be on his shoulders (Jesus). The implicatión is that the government of this world is not yet on the shoulders of Jesús.

My friend you asked a very valid question. The problem is with the way the so called pastors interpret the bible. The almighty God our creator never in anywhere in the bible guarantee his worshipers good health and material prosperity etc. The guarantee that God gave his worshippers is spiritual protection. That is why the same sicknesses and unfortunate events that befall bad people also befalls good people. There are many classical examples in the bible that demonstrates that. Unfortunately, the churches are making everyone believe otherwise with prosperity gospels and all that.
Imagine someone who calls himself a "man of God" saying that it is the will of God for someone to suffer the terrible pain and agony of a cancerous disease for two years before letting them die, what a cruel way to portray a God whom the bible tells us that He is the epitome of love. I don't think the most wicked person on earth will be that heartless. At the end they obscure the falsehood of their teachings with one of their favourite phrase. "You can't question God". Again that is wrong, faithful ones in the bible questioned God, and there is no indication in the bible that God was offended neither did he condemn them for questioning Him. The true God is not a tyrant.

God has clearly shown us in the bible that he will solve all of mankind's problems by means of his Kingdom. True worshippers look forward to the time when that kingdom will reign on earth, Dan. 2:44. Before that time true worshippers knows that they will face the ill effects of living in the last days of this system of things like everyone else, another guarantee that God gave is that he will give His worshippers the strength they need to endure whatever difficulties they might face to help them remain faithful to Him, by means of His holy spirit. 1Cor.10:13. This is the truth contained in God's word.

Besides, a vain generation ask for sign....the paramount sign that we have now and that should suffice, is the irrefutable fact that Jesus was here, lived for others, preached about God and his loving project for mankind, was killed but rose again the third day. Because he rose, we too will rise. And no matter the injustice and misfortune we suffer here it will be forgotten in the new Jerusalem that God will bring about. Then it will be like the bible stated, as though we were dreaming...this earthly trouble and sorrow we be like it were a dream.

I don't understand this dissonance of yours. If God is not answerable to us and his will is a settled matter, what then is even the point of praying to him? Christians, especially those of the Pentecostal faith, believe that tragedy, misfortune and suffering is "not their portion". This is the crux of their faith and all their militant casting and binding. Yet, when misfortune befalls them, suddenly their "portion" becomes irrelevant and only the will of God matters. You people are very confused. Is it just possible that your entire faith is a delusion that was indoctrinated into you from your early childhood consciousness and you've spent your whole life cultivating that delusion?

Skeptical mind you are on the right path. Just to help you set your records straight, the fact that a claim was made ages ago does not make it more real than if it were made now. Save yourself from the confusion. A claim made ages ago requires the same proof as if that claim was made now. Going by how outlandish the claims attributed to Jesus and the apostles are, they were obviously made out of delusion and or deceit. There is absolutely no point burdening your self with them.

The idea of Christianity is being perpetuated today by those who have not taken time to think about it and see how inconsistent with reality it is, by good intentioned (but clouded with delusion) people, or by pastorpreneurs using it for their personal gain.

You sound like a Jehovah's witness to me or at least someone that has been exposed to their teachings/school of thought. Not necessarily so though, but we can agree you share the same school of thought and pattern with them. I need to point out that what they fail to point out is why we should belive the bible. No concrete evidence. Just delusion that their founders felt belief in the bible was in vogue as at then and sought for ways to do it right, commendable but still not helpful. There is absolutely no reason to take the bible seriously, in the same way I will not take anyone that makes an outlandish claim to me today without substantial proof. Good try but no. For the skeptics, don't burden yourself with the logicality of attacking "Christian" ideas just go straight to the source: the Bible and let the propagators know that there is no concrete evidence to take the bible seriously and you see the system of Christian logic fall like a pack of cards.

Had a similar long argument with a lady last week on the logicality of religion they always first come out with arguments about how their religion is logical until those "logic" are outclassed by pure logic and they end up with, "I'm in this religion because of my spirituality, its not something you can understand" the hogwash that you can expect from a cornered person.
