Dear applicant,
Don't let this sour your detty Christmas or a successful and prosperous new year that awaits you and many others looking forward to one.
Tomorrow grab yourself a pint of drink, get your dependent bro around and enjoy the festive seasons, after the festive seasons and perhaps and most favorably when covid is much under control and more borders are open for visitors, make applications and travel to your other desired destinations, and if you want to re-apply to the UK do so.

In your future application to the UK please, you must try to keep things simple and clean as possible whilst demonstrating that your application circumstances has changed and addressing points that undermined your previous applications and the recent refusal you shared, if you have any question(s) do not hesitate to drop it/them on here BEFORE submission of your documents.

Seasons greetings

Having a 300k paying Job is not a good tie @ all... Trust me I know somebody that was denied wit a paying job of 450k, Good statement but no landed doc, parents aren't in Nigeria & also not married.

300K per month is a bloody good salary, and can afford a vacation! People get tourist visas with 150k jobs. Someone earning 300k in most states in Nigeria probably has a better standard of living than someone making 1500-2000 quid in the U.K. So why would the person ideally become an irregular migrant?

What percentage of Nigerians earn up to 300k sef? I can't speak to your acquaintance denial as I do not have a complete picture of their circumstances. A 300k job is an excellent job for a tourist visa application! Just make a clean application and don't tell convoluted stories no one has that time. It is good if you have landed assets, but it is not a requirement.

I feel people over flog this tie stuff honestly; if ties are as important as we are presenting them, then students wouldn't be getting visas then neither would orphans and single people. Don't get me wrong though it is important to establish that you have a life in Nigeria, which a job shows, and a 300k job is a pretty decent job in Nigeria! Just don't muddle up your finances.

Hello,

I beg to disagree that having a "300k paying job is not a good tie at all". If that was true, then applicants with lesser income, who had that as only ties in Nigeria would never have a successful application.

I would rather say and as often quoted by VOs that the ONUS is on the applicant to demonstrate that his/her application merits the category of visa he/she has applied for. Hence, in the above applicant's case even a higher income job might not be sufficient but, and a lesser income secures him/her a visa. Taking a further look into the refusal letter he/she shared, he/she had a sponsor which the VO acknowledge, compliment that with a 300k plus job and other income as indicated by the VO, is and should be sufficient for his/her travel.

I have just been refused. What should I do. This is my third refusal

Sorry about your refusal. Did you get the refusal via email or was it when you collected your passport?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by ijebubabe(f): 1:36pm On Dec 24, 2021
A family member did her biometrics on 30/11/2021 and paid for priority service. Till date, she is yet to receive a collection email.

A paid email was sent to UKVI and this was the response she received earlier this week:

Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Contact Centre.

With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application, I can confirm that we have made a decision on your application. We cannot discuss the outcome of your application on-line or by telephone. However the visa application centre will be in contact with you in regards to collection or delivery of your passport.

We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents.

Any idea on what this means and what we can do to get her passport/the outcome of her application? Thanks

No one will get visa if you work as one of the interviewers. Please tell me how many Nigerians are making 300k a month?

My wife UK visa application was successful despite that her current salary is less than 150k.

Bro how you package your application matters. 300k job per month is a good economic tie in Nigeria. To get visa one needs to show more than economic/financial tie. They also look at family and social ties too.

Good day everyone. please I need advice on my visa application and my visit to the UK.

I did my biometrics for a 6 months visit visa on 29 November (standard application) in Dubai. The reason for my visit is to write an exam (plab2) in January.

Unfortunately, all the candidates writing the exam in January and February have been directed to cancel their bookings. we were advised to book for later dates which is from July onward. I cancelled and I booked the exam for July.
My initial plan was to enter the UK on 10th January. Although, I haven't received the visa yet.
my concerns are:
1) Do i need to take any action as per the visa?
2) Do I still stand a chance to get the visa?, even if they find out that my exam, which was the reason for the application has been cancelled. Although, I have a new date, which is July?
3) If the visa is approved, it'll likely be expired before my exam date, should I notify them before travelling for the exam or I should travel first, then request for an extension, once i land in the UK?.
I have the mail from the GMC, directing all candidates in jan&feb to cancel. I also have the mail for the confirmation of my new date.

300k is a good pay in Nigeria. Remember this is a country where most states can’t afford to pay the 30k minimum wage.

Find out how much entry level bankers are making then you will know that 300k is a good pay in Nigeria

My first application to the UK, my salary was 119k and I got my visa. Though I added my mutual funds investment statement that shows that I was investing like 10k monthly with a total balance of 450k and my bank account I had 170k. That was all.
300k is a very fantastic salary for visa applications. Just keep your account clean, ensure there are no unexplainable regular or irregular income.

We won’t even be able to count Dec 27th & 28th as part of our application working days because they are public holidays and the UKVI will be closed.
So after today, it’s till next week Wednesday that we will resume the counting.

Mother in-law received collection email yesterday after waiting since second week in October. Arrived at Ikeja VAC this morning and the centre is closed. How can TLS centre Ikeja claim today to be a public holiday? Not sure when next they’ll open

Hello everyone. Good day; I hope I get response(s). Cause this is important.
Am at the crossroads.
Two questions:.

1. UK is notorious for sending people out after the study visa. I want go study masters in the UK and take my spouse along. Would I be legally allowed to stay.

2. Can I be an entrepreneur and stay back especially in the real estate sector; which brings me to the second question, Can someone on study permit invest or buy real estate properties in the UK. I believe people already living there are best to answer this question.

Thanks in anticipation to anyone that takes there time to answer this..

1. Currently you get a 2 years post-study visa after schooling and Yes, you can take your spouse. On the highlighted that has never been true. If you get a job after your studies then you can stay. The only difference now is that there is a post-study visa that gives you ample time to get a suitable job.

2. If you have the money to outrightly buy the property then it should be fine. Otherwise getting a mortgage on a student visa might be near impossible but I could be wrong.

1. You do not need to take any action
2. As long as the information you submitted is true at the time of submission then you should be fine.
3. That might be an alternative. i.e travelling close to the expiration of your visa and extending your stay. The other option is to apply for a new visa when you get your passport and explain that your exam was moved while attaching the communication the instructed you to cancel and reschedule your already scheduled exam.
good luck

My issues is that my salary take home is 550k per month and my monthly expenses is 100k

But on Dec 8 I bought a car as a Xmas gift for my wife 1.5m which debited reflected on my salary account, can I write a cover letter to explain this and show the proof of car receipt, ownership, allocation and vehicle licence? Or can I start building the account afresh.

As understood you are not banned and as such can re-apply anytime not earlier than 3 months before your intended date of arrival or departure to the UK.

What you should subtract or add, to be honest will require having a view of your previous refusals in 2014 in addition with the recent refusal + your recent visa application form to have an insight and understanding how you addressed previous concerns and present points that have undermined your visas applications.

Thank you

leave it for now. 4 consecutive denials from them alone is a red flag to your application. Avoid looking desperate. You can go to other countries for vacation.

OMICRON/COVID 4th wave is on a high. I do not think at this point they are really happy with the influx of people trying to come in when they can barely control their covid numbers… applications are going to take a while so just all be patient. It is evident that applications are taking longer + staff shortages in most sectors due to illness… the wait is here..
