After careful consideration of a memo presented by Chairman of the Technical and Development Sub-Committee Ahmed Yusuf Fresh, the Executive Committee endorsed a proposal for the appointment of Mr Jose Peseiro as the new Head Coach of the Super Eagles.

However, the Committee resolved that Mr Augustine Eguavoen, named the interim Head Coach, will lead the Super Eagles to the AFCON 2021 in Cameroon with Mr Peseiro only playing the role of Observer.

It was unanimously agreed that the AFCON is a good avenue for Mr Peseiro to launch a working relationship with Mr Eguavoen, who will revert to his role as Technical Director (hence Mr Peseiro’s immediate boss) after the AFCON.

He has coached oil rich countries like Saudi and Venezuela so might know a thing or two about oil rich corrupt states. A year spell each with the Giants of Portuguese football also shows he changes jobs too quickly. We ld be needing another coach soon.

As a formal forward, it's expected he'll promote fluid, attacking football.

Atleast, he's better than the Franco-German fraud called Gernot Rohr who failed as a coach with the Squirrels of Burkina Faso, Niger and Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The foreign coaches are still loosing. I’d rather loose with a local coach and give our local guys big opportunities than loose with foreign coaches which hinders the growth of our local coaches

By all standard this Jose Poseiro guy isn't any better than our local coaches, but because he is a foreigner, he must be considered ahead of the local coaches plus the money that the committee will make via kickbacks and commission from appointing him. Naija I hail thee.

This man doesn't have what it takes to coach a star studded team like Nigeria. Probable going to end up like his predecessor; mediocre scorelines and confused play.

With players in our national team such as Iheanacho, Osimhen, Ndidi and the likes, one should expect top notch soccer to be played but that's not the case almost everytime because of the low budget coaches NFF always like to employ
