Happy New Year, Nairalanders.

Upon seeing GLO's while watching the Arsenal game, a question came to my mind: What is GLO' business model?

Obviously, maybe I can't say for Etisalat, but between MTN, AIRTEL and GLO, GLO's network coverage is the poorest. Either for browsing or calls. Or even to speak to a customer care representative.

And another part is their promo and their arrays of celebrities ambassador. I really don't know how these have helped improved their services. Or even people's perception of them.

I would like to know, what do you think about Glo?

Well it’s not a public company so their books are not in public domain.

For some reasons perhaps best known to GLO, their services seems fair outside urban areas.

That company is definitely bleeding and in a matter of time the whole thing will be open to everyone.

They are just doing cover up with senseless adverts and promos just to manage the situation.

The last 5G auction done by NCC dem no even show face because they don't have the money to participate, ministry of aviation is threatening to shut down their masts because of 4.7billion naira debt.

They are also owing FCDA 1.3billion naira.
Sometimes in 2019 MTN had to partially disconnect Glo subscribers because Glo was owing them 2.7billion naira.

So it obvious that a lot is wrong with the company. They need to reduce the way they sign celebrities and focus on network upgrade
