Medicals done at IOM Abuja: June 27
Medicals updated (me and our child): June 28

I just spent the last 2 hours going through the threads and again, i'm blown away by how helpful people on Nairaland always are. it's so beautiful to see us helping each other with no strings attached.

I have gotten some insights into a couple of things for which i'm grateful but i'm still in the dark about some and i need help please.

1. I am into the entertainment industry here in naija. i tried the EE route, but my CRS was digging for crude oil even though IELTS was maxed out , then Covid happened and IELTS expired. Is there any other route you can suggest please?

2. I'm exploring the Student route. Bearing in my mind my first degree was in Finance but i've been working in entertainment since i left school, What option of schools and courses are available to me?

3. What happens as the PGWP expires please? i assume it's to enter the EE pool with because there is CEC involved now?

4. I have seen people apply with their kids from Nigeria. is it advisable to do that or should i get to canada first and then apply for my family?

Thank you so much for your response.

Flight is really expensive right now, it took me days of searching. If you can stay up around 1-3am, it’s possible you get nice deal on wakanow. I got Egypt air for 540k

Hi, I can be able to answer your no. 2 and 3 question

2) Entertainment is very wide like Computer with lots of branches, that being said, What Entertainmentjob are you into Are you an MC, Music Promoter, Musician, Film Producer, Music Producer, Dancer, Comedian, Movie Actor, DJ?

Your response to the above question will determine the PG. CERT program you can go for to show CAREER PROGRESSION as an ENTERTAINER

3) Before your PGWP expires, you must have applied for PR via express entry. That's why it is advisable for an international to do a two years program or you finish 1 program and do another program (1+1) to get 2-3 years PGWP. If you go for only a year program, you get only 1-year PGWP, after finishing that you can't get it again (PGWP is once in a lifetime). That means you will be expected to leave Canada after that 1 year PGWP becomes obsolete.

For a two years program or 1 +1 program, out of the 2-3 years PGWP you get after finishing a 2-years or 1+1 program, you are eligible to apply for CEC after 1 year fulltime work experience of your PGWP, then the remaining 1 or 2 years will give you more time to Prepare your PR application (do IELTS OR CELPIP, get all requires docs, etc.) and submit

Use your parent, siblings, and your dad's company as your home tie. Discuss convincingly how you are expected to be back to manage his company and how you are responsible to be there for them physically, emotionally, and financially even at their old age.

Oh wow. To think that I thought of you. Don’t worry sis, everything will definitely end in praise for you and your family. Order your Gcms notes and address the VO’s concerns. And your next application try NSE route. Big hugs to you mama.

Download barter by flutterwave. Create a naira and dollar virtual card. Fund your naira card, then fund your dollar card with the funds in the naira card. You can then make payment with the dollar card. Exchange rate is like black market, but its safer and you'll save your dollar.

Hello Iamblessed,

If you're in Lagos or Abuja, I would suggest you visit the airport with your ATM and pay using their POS (how I did for wife). Reserve the ticket, and go there. Most airlines prices show in dollars but the conversation rate is between 440-448, of which most use 444.
In Cad or US dollar ?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Teezkid: 7:59am On Jul 05, 2022
Okay. when next you want to apply, you can use his marriage certificate or birth certificate, anyhow you can prove your relationship with him, so the Visa officers will have a more broad understanding that he is related to you, if you have any past sponsorship for what he has done for you, include them. Writing a letter is not enough to prove your relationship wink
