Good evening house,

Massive kudos to everyone and anyone here that take out time to provide invaluable information to the rest of us. It is much appreciated.

On that note, is Lebara a good network provider for people just moving to the UK?

If no, what are the best options? The best plans? Thank you all in advance.

Lebara is very good, but do your own comparison across board. ........ To see which provider, ticks all your boxes.......

Evening Guys..
Please I want to confirm if one on a Skilled Worker Visa wants to change employer; whether DEPENDANTs and Partner will also change too??
Or they will continue with their previous BRP??
Will they be required to fill any change of employer form as MA will do??
Thanks in earnest for reply.

So Liz Truss is our new PM. Political watchers what does this mean for us?
I hope she's more competent than Boris. I really wanted Rishi to win. He sounded more competent and credible.

Never wanted him to win, Truss may not win general election but Rishi is just out of touch with common people.

In what way pls? He had good talks though, just he seemed kind of divided between UK and the States, I think that cost him!
Truss was never a Brexit Torries, so I think conservative will align with her 1-3months, and then cabinet members start to resign. If she stays at NO. 10 for a year that would be a great surprise...

Some times it about race but sometimes it not about race ...... in every race there must be a winner or a loser
Its very obvious that Liz got it because she is white. If it is about competency and experience Richy Sunak has more experience than Liz. A majority white Conservative party would never allow Sunak be the Prime minister even for 2 seconds grin

I think your comment is subjective ... in my eyes he not more competent so opinions do differ . ..... with the way money was shared to business during covid with absolutely no checks, competence is very far in my eyes.

Boris was not the most competent when he won, yet nobody played the race card so why are you doing that now.

I don't think race was a major factor. A lot of conservatives wanted to pay him back for "stabbing Boris" in the back. He did the right thing but with populist leaders, their base will always come after you should you go against them. Johnson himself wasn't competent. They schemed out Michael Gove so that they will have an easier ride against Jeremy Hunt. I expected Sunak to do the same (tactical voting). He should have given some of his votes to Mordant to edge out Truss.

Was sadiq khan elected by the conservative’s?
Go back to that mayoral election and check the margins.. London is the most multicultural city and that’s is why sadiq won.

In case you forgot boris has been the mayor of London before now. Besides who was more competent than boris in any of the opposition parties ?
Members of Labour Party and other parties voted for Boris in the General Elections because of his pedigree when he was mayor of London. For the last 10 years the Labour Party is in shambles. The conservatives would still win if general elections are held tonight

Sadiq Khan is current mayor of London.... would you say he is competent at anything. I think Mr Khan is terrible, Been a mayor doesn't mean you are competent but I hear you .

Boris wins for popularity and be likeable not because of actual competent. He is as dodgy as a Nigerian politicians and somehow always gets away with chances they will never give to others

Rishi had a larger enough number 47 percent. If it was about race he would have been way lower. There were many other factors against him. I personally won't vote for Rishi and has nothing to do with race, I am sure many other feel the same . Even in the only one debate I watched, he just kept talking over everyone. Came across very arrogant and out of touch

The most competent candidates do not necessarily win elections...Nigeria is a case in point and I am sure its same in many places.

Sunak's resignation was what toppled Boris' gov. While Boris officially maintained neutrality in the race, there is little doubt he would be working for Liz who defended him till the end behind the scenes.

Also, Liz came with this immediate action on cost-on-living crisis, while Sunak was more guys should learn to live with it, we will do what we can though that does not imperil the treasury. For a country who headlines have been centred on cost-of-living crisis, Liz was more likely to be popular even if Sunak's plan was more credible.

Sunak actually started out as the front candidate but couldnt maintain momentum. I don't see racism being the main reason for his loss.

Hi all,

Please has anyone used form A for maintenance in recent times?

I applied for 1800pounds on the 4th of July and it was approved. Just got debited 1747 USD équivalent of 1500 pounds and this FCMB people no wan reply me.

Also they seemed to have opened both a USD and pounds accounts for me instead of remitting to my UK account as I filled. Is this a process and they would later remit it into my UK account?

I agree with your comments. I wouldnt have voted for him too. Not happy about the non-domicile status of the wife as well.

For those claiming racism, I believe some asians are now even worse than cuacasians when it comes to racism.
