I don't think anybody in this great forum press phone than I do which I believe it as become something else. I can't stay 5 minutes without. Touching my phone.

I have my phone with me at all times and check it hundreds of times a day. From WhatsApp Message to Nairalander to Twitter and so on.

Please my great Nairalanders, help me, how can I reduce this attitude, it becoming something else.

Deactivate your Facebook for a month/I deleted mine.

Deactivate you Instagram...I deleted my account.

Delete your WhatsApp. I did that, until I got a job. It takes me 2 to 3 hours to reply my boss and I don't reply on the WhatsApp group.

Delete your tiktok account too.

they are the solutions to solving your addiction.

Simple solution. Uninstall some apps you're addicted to. You can install them again later. And keeps going forth and back like that.
Secondly, get a small phone and insert your main sim cards into it and leave your browsing phone at home anytime you are going out or to work.

Go and get a real job. That will help you. It seems to me you are just jobless and have no work to do. By the time work hit you left, right and center, you will forget your phone for a while.

You are right, anytime I'm doing any site project, to even pick calls becomes a problem.

At night i will only manage to pick calls the next thing I'm off to sleep.

Seriously i came to realize when I'm out of project I have time for my phone

We're all addicted to our phones and devices, this is exactly what makes u an analog generation.

At this age, stage and level, Reducing the time you spent on your phone might be impossible, but as you get older and a lot busier, you'll understand why your parents hardly spent time with their phones. Responsibilities makes you busy
Age is not the problem my guy, africa full of unemployed people roaming without direction.
In the USA right now more than 20 rig petroleum companies are hiring looking for hands to work and join them. From roasters, floor hand etc as entering level.
Many people are wasting quality life and quality time in Africa.
Some jobs no too much experience needed just come and work.

It's a work tool for you that's why.

It's just like me not being able to stay a day without my laptop.

In your case your phone is your main work tool because you use your Instagram and Snapchat for your olosho business undecided

You are not alone, I am too. I don't really have friends offline. Just one or two and they are far away. So, I'm always surfing the internet for news and chats. Most people complain this about me.

I don't really think you use yr mobile phone as up to me, due to my addiction for my phone I got two diff power banks 20000mAh (oraimo and new age), but the main thing is those things you're doing on your phone are they bringing in steady income for you, as for me rn the apps I use the most are Facebook, WhatsApp, Pes and telegram.

But I can boldly say each of this app are fetching sustainable income asides Facebook and Pes, so if your addiction isn't productive quit it.

I remember abt 2mnths ago, I gave myself a WhatsApp break of 3 days, you have to see the pressure on me, I just felt like the billing coming in from my WhatsApp is more compared to the earnings, but rn I'm even planning on uninstalling the green app, after their sudden breakdown.

Try to use freeze app if you're an Android user, you'll be feeling like opening it and just checking some msgs, but plan a reward for yourself, like giving yourself a very good treat if you can go off WhatsApp and some other social media platform, or better still try to make it income yielding for you.

Anyways, I promise you 10k if you can really truthfully do 1 week off all social media platforms.

If you work in my office, you will surely learn by force. You will not see your phone at resumption until closing hour. You should learn to put away your phone for couple of hours even if it requires you keeping it far from you. It will improve your daily productivity and goals attainment.
