Can anyone kindly recommend schools in Canada for graduate program. I’m confused, cheap schools

1.Decide what course you want to study.
2. Search for schools that offer that course on google in CAD
3. Check what the schools charge for tuition
viola you are done.

Na your friend you suppose ask what is overqualified. LOL

All schools have their minimum admission requirements, so if you meet them you can apply after also considering their tuition.

He was denied Visa from UK, because they said his work experience is too much for the course he wants to take, I know he was rejected, but I've never heard of such "overqualified", but thanks for the reply,

No it does not.

Contact Anon123 or check on google for how to order the notes

Thanks once again for your response.

So, I attempted to order for the GCMS notes via the web site - http://www.thegcmsonline.com/. Surprisingly, the consent form sent for my execution has someone's name - Kokare Popat Dada encrypted as the representative. Is this normal?

Has anyone else experienced this?

Good Morning everyone and a Blissful Happy new year. This post will be long but I need you to help me pay attention. I am putting this information for people who are experiencing delays with their application and who've tried to communicate via email without having any progress. An acquaintance of mine showed me how to call ircc call center agents in Ottawa from Nigeria here using Viber app. Download the Viber app from Google or apple appstore and register with your number.
Before following the steps to make a call to ircc in Ottawa send a mail to these addresses individually;
abuja@international.gc.ca

Abuja-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

abujag@international.gc.ca

In the email input your name uci and application number. Explain your current situation in the situation. When they get the mail a prompt will be placed on your application for the visa officer to look at it.
These are the steps;
Step 1:
Call this number with the Viber app: +1-800-267-6788, it's ircc client call center number.
Step 2:
Press 1 to use the service in English.
Step 3:
Press 2 to connect to ircc
Step 4: after connection to ircc, you would listen to a message for about 30 seconds just be patient till they tell you the buttons to press. You'll be asked to input your uci number if you have, just to save time press 2 that you do not have a uci. Although when you connect to the client call center agent he/she will ask you to provide your application details which includes application number, uci number and other relevant information.
Point to note: if you're calling in for someone you'll have to fill in the ircc imm5455 consent form.

Step 5:
after step 4, you'll listen another message again like step 4 be patient till they tell you which numbers to press. press 3
Step 6:
after that the next number you'll press is 1 to talk to make enquiry about your study permit application or press 2 to make an enquiry about your PR application.
Step 7: the final number to press is 0 to speak to an agent.
Point note : the client support center opens by 1pm. Nigerian time. So it's best to start calling them by 12:45pm so you can be in the queue and wouldn't have to wait too long. I tried this process and it worked for me after Months of sending mails and webforms. Even getting a gcms note now is daunting task because ATIP In Canada is finding it hard to give people their gcms notes, I feel they are understaffed and overwhelmed. When you get connected to the Call ask for an enquiry, they will give you details on the current stage of your application but don't ask when they'll make a decision on your application, they don't have any information about that and they wouldn't even tell you honestly. There it is guys I know this post is very long but please bare with me when this method worked for me I had to come here to spread the information, I hope you get your ppr sooner. Let me put a screenshot of my application to show you the how I got for my ppr, I hope it inspires you as well.

Yes, that's the way it is. That's the representative in Canada who will help you request the notes. Jst fill ur details on section 3 of the note and tick "individual only"

Pls is this for the new portal?

In the new portal is it possible to start an application,
save and come back later to continue?

And if it is possible, will it affect the application later?

This is for the new portal and yes you can start an application by uploading your documents, leave it then come back to it provided that you haven’t submitted. You have about 60 days to submit before the application gets deleted. And NO it will not affect your application.

Goodluck

You will need at least a 2'1 to get admission for masters in most universities/colleges. I'm sure that's why you were advised to go for a PGD

Hello,

The person's advice isn't out of place. For master's degree in Canada, the bench mark was and is still 2.1. but those days, if you had 2.2 with good experience, you might get admission because application influx wasn't much unlike now. Now with the rate of people applying to schools in Canada, even some 2.1 don't even get admission.

That being said, is not like it is impossible, but the chances are so rare. Someone I know applied to UNBC, got a supervisor and scholarship because even though he had 2.2 from first degree, he has really improved himself with research work and all that. But still the school denied him admission because he had 2.2. This just to let you know the difficult nature of 2.2 for master's program.

But If you have 2.2 in bachelor's and have a good standing GP in a PGD, then your chances of masters degree admission will be high.

Good day everyone and compliments of this great seasons. Please I would appreciate if anyone could help give a clear answers to this my question.
I have a bachelor's degree in political science (second class upper) but currently working with a Fintech firm (Technical operations dept) for the past five yrs
Questions:
1. Do I apply for a program related to my current work experience?
2. Am considering to apply for a masters degree in political science since I already had a first degree in pol science but my concerns is that wouldn't the V.O see this as a Red flag
3. Programs I have seen so far related to my work experience are all Diploma and certificate's program of 1yr won't this be seen as a Red flag from the V.O if I choose to option for this having known I already have bachelor degree and then switching to a diploma or cert program which is lower than the already acquired degree.

Please your directions will be much appreciated. Thanks

Landing Gist!!!

To the glory of God, my fourth application was granted on the 30th of November after being refused 3 times and judicial review not granted. I eventually moved on the 29th of December and it was a smooth journey down here when I arrived on Thursday.

My flight to Addis Ababa was 1:40pm but I was already in MMIA around 10am with my fam. Started the whole check-in processing, did the weight thing and my both luggages were a bit above 23kg but normal Naija level, we found a way to sort that out. I had a little difficulty getting my boarding pass at first because my return date exceeded my passport expiry date but it was eventually sorted out too. After having my boarding pass, I went back outside to take pictures with my family and it was an emotional moment but this is what we've all being praying for. I said my goodbye and went back to face the journey ahead of me.

We eventually took off around 2pm, it was a cool 5 hours journey down to Addis Ababa. I landed there, had a layover of about an hour and the long journey began. We took off from Addis Ababa for about 8 hours on air and had a stopover for about an hour in Dublin for refueling. Then we took off again down to Toronto. I really enjoyed the flight, Ethiopian airlines cabin crew sabi take care of person. Those ladies are lovely and quite approachable. I chop, watch movie, press phone tire. Na whenever I happen to doze off dem go carry something come, the lovely lady beside go wake up say dem don bring food if I want or not. Lmao. I no want ke? Sleep go clear for my eyes and I go collect the food chop. Had rice, chicken, cake, bread, biscuit, drank juice, coffee, etc. The long flight down to Toronto was so sweet but omo, e far ooo.

To the glory of God, I arrived in YYZ around 9am Toronto time. We alighted and I quickly went for the study permit stuff. Did a declaration, received my study permit without any questions from the officer. I only presented my Letter of Introduction (the front page) and my passport.

I quickly dashed off to the luggage area. Naso I see my hand luggage first but my 2 major bags con become wahala but I eventually saw both bags. When I sighted the Indians gathering around on a queue one side I sharply asked what's it about and I was told it's for SIN. I waited for about an hour plus and got my SIN over there in the airport. My darling uncle was around to pick me up and from there we went to the store to get my SIM card/number too. We got home to his place in Milton and I was heartily received by my folks. Around evening, we went to the bank to open my account and I sorted that out too same day.

Now I'm in my London, Ontario to begin my classes in Fanshawe college this week. RelaxingEnd and myself got an apartment together prior to coming here. Such a great guy. Omo, but why's no one talking about how tedious it is to get an accomodation? We eventually got a good offer and now our journey in Maple land is about to begin. May the Lord guide our steps in this new sojourn.

I return all glory to God Almighty for making this Canadian dream successful for me because it wasn't an easy feat but with preseverance, patience, faith, encouragement and God's grace, it finally worked out in my favour.

It's a new phase of life and in this new year and years to come in this new land shall be favourable to me. Ilu yi a san mi, a gbe mi lagbara Ase Edumare.

A big Thank you to everyone because I can't seem to talk enough about how much information I got here.

I wish everyone expecting a response a positive reply (PPR) and I wish those still gathering their documents the very best too.

Everything go eventually make sense!

Hello,

There is no special way of doing that except stating in your sop under hometie/assets of the assets you have. Then back it up with documentation (all the docs from the property).

But note that this should come under the financial backup plan and not what you will come back to cos VO believes that it can easily be disposed.

Its not really about the CGPA being 2.2. Most universities in Canada calculate your last 2 years of your transcript. If its up to 2.1 you will be considered.
In other words, you could have a cgpa of a 2.2 and your last two years' Cgpa is 2.1 and yet given admission.

Landing gist....

Everything from my admission to my arrival in Canada was my first attempt and I thank God for his grace.

My flight departure time was 1:40pm, it was moved to 1:20pm and I didn't know till I arrived at the airport, thankfully I was there 4 hrs to the time. See crowd (people dey really comot naija o) the place be like island market, noisy, ridiculously small, hot and unorganized.
Got in with fam members who came to see me off and firstly the scanner did not work for several minutes. When it finally worked/scanned my bags, I headed to the airline saying excuse me up n down so I could pass the crowd.
Omo despite all my arrangements the bags were 30kg each instead of 23kg each, na there I begin bargain for the excess luggage and had to settle them before I was able to check-in the bags. From there to immigration and customs, they were very fast, I only submitted my passport/tickets and filled the yellow card.
We left Lagos 40mins late cos everybody wan board at the same time, dem just dey shout *queue up, single line* but e no work. We sha boarded and damn those Ethiopian airline crew ladies fine sha.
My first flight experience and first international flight, I just dey happy dey smile like cow. Food served was actually good just that dem wan use rice choke person. Lunch and dinner na rice every time throughout all the flights.
Flight was good, got to Addis Ababa and mehn come see airport na, large, organized and finally people come queue. We did the usual scanning and routine search and joined the next flight after 2hrs layover. The descending flight at Dublin was the worst, my head wan explode, my belle just dey turning on ein own. It was as though we were falling instead of descending. After an hour of refueling we flew to Toronto from there.
Flight to Toronto was good, we arrived and met the large beautiful airport. See crowd of first time students. I could count the blacks/Nigerians, the rest were Indians/Asians.
We queued, did self declaration (arrive-can was useless) and In a few minutes we were issued our student permits (it's usually the entire duration of the visa/length of program).
Got out of the airport to pick an Uber and it was as though I walked into a deep freezer lol, I immediately wore my winter jacket ontop of the sweater I was wearing, wore my hand gloves and I was fine.

Canada is large and beautiful. Tarred roads, the express had like 10 lanes each. I was debited for the Uber ride immediately I booked unlike naija where you are billed after your ride. The driver Even stopped to buy fuel (in my mind if na naija now u fit stop dey buy fuel when my trip dey read?)

If I could do this myself, I believe anyone can and I pray that everyone still praying and hoping on God will smile at the end.
