Please i would like to get in touch with you

You seem dismissive of everyone who posts here because you have had more experiences in Canada, and you know a few people who confirm your beliefs about this situation. That's fair enough. But maybe you'd take me more seriously since I have been in Canada for almost 15 years (and worked a survival job for some of those years).

As @NuCypher pointed out, your story is not the norm, and it really doesn't matter that you know friends of friends who have similar stories. Also, the notion that people are where they are (or that they get the opportunities they get) solely based on the effort they put in is one of the most dangerous narratives in society today. You could have been job searching at a time when the demand was high; your UK credentials could have helped; the fact that you were so established in Nigeria could have also been a factor - the point is that there are SO many other variables (apart for you "trying" ) that helped you get where you are today.

I respectfully disagree with most of the points you used to justify a soft landing, but I guess that's what your experience (and that of the people around you) has been. Of course, that view may broaden as time passes and you talk to more people.

To everyone on this forum, I want to say what a great community this is. I wish I had known about it while processing my application a few years back! I'm only here now because I am helping someone with their application. Reading through this forum allows me to monitor the timelines since people are so kind to post important updates.

Good luck to everyone!

I tried using a dollar card but it isn't going through, I also tried using the pay4me app but the rate I'm seeing there is kind of high
what bank card did you try? I think GTBank works fine for now.

That Pay4me is ridiculous. You are exchanging at black market rate and you are still charging a whooping 10-12% of the total amount being transacted. Why won't I just find dollar at the black market and fund my dorm acct?

UBA. I will try GTbank

I know right, it's ridiculous

Thank you so much for your response.

Quick question as I received from a friend:

Guys, I have $6000 USD in my dorm account. can I use it as POF? I don’t want to convert it to naira. If I do, it will be more than the 4M required for POF but I am scared of devaluation. However I worry that the $6k isn’t enough to cut the $13k CAD which is base minimum. any way around this?

PPR means passport request is applicable to all types of Canadian Visa
Okay thanks, so that means one isn't getting permanent residency right away as it's applicable in Express entry.

They did point to a specific point - reasonable evidence of fraud and this is not a generic mail at all. It is highly unlikely that they will make this claim without going through a painstaking investigation. It is incredibly hard to go from a 6.5 to an 8 within a couple of weeks on a language test.
There's nothing remotely hard about going from even 6 to 8 in ielts in a couple of weeks.

With the right materials, identifying your weakness, it's possible to achieve that.

ohh wow, that means I need to convert mine too.

Please how many months are we to submit for the statement of account.
And can the money be taken out of the account after printing the statement? Or what is the ideal duration the money is meant to be in the said account?

Good evening 😊, I need your assistance.
I have evaluated my certificate and sat for IELTS on 7th January, 2023. My result was released yesterday. I had the following bands: L-8.5, R-8.5, W-7,S-7...Overall band 8(CLB 9)

I am applying for SINP but I am kind of confused. I studied English Language and I am currently working with an Advertising Company in Lagos.

I am confused on the NOC Code.

Please can someone help me out

It depends on your current role... but if you are an advertising specialist, choose 0124 if you are a manager or 1123 if you are not. Do your research and choose what works best for your role.

BTW, this is the old NOC system which I applied and got PPR with. I know its been changed to a teer system so you may want to check that as well.

Your NOC is based on your job responsibilities.

You should consider remarking your writing and speaking tho.

I forgot to mention I have a relative in Saskatchewan. When I calculated my SINP points, I had total of 82.

Leave it’s as dollar then find the balance in naira and put in your naira account. Then print both dom account and naira account statements and submit as your pof . It’s exactly what I did and it worked! But remember if both balance are less than 6months old add an LOE stating how you got the money
