It pours out because you fill to the beyond the filler pipe. Stop over filling your tank, it will damage your EVAP system. Ask the fuel attendant, to fill till the fuel pump nozzle clicks stop. When it clicks stop you are filled up.

Ok thanks.. Appreciate the response

Hi guys, the Car is a 2006 Corolla. The fault is that when I drive on an uneven road, or take a right turn, I will be hearing a consistent tapping sound from the rear side (the trunk). Sometimes it gets embarrassing when I am with people in the car. Also, when I speed up the vehicle on a good road surface, the car shakes. I complained to my mechanic and he changed the engine seat. Yet the problem persists. He said I should check the tires, but no visible lump on any of them. What could be the fault?

You need a competent technician to physically inspect the car

Why dropping the engine again?
What's your car model and which engine do you have in it.

Hi Kingrein,

I salute what you're doing on this thread and would appreciate if I can get your permission to also reply to questions. If I'm wrong, please call me to order ASAP.

As the OP, I believe it is rude to just barge in and start making comments on people's problem when I could be misleading people. With the small experience I have in the Auto repair business, I have concluded that nothing costs more money than wrong diagnostics. This is what simply puts holes in the pocket of the car owner and ruins your reputation as a trusted autotech.

So please, permission to carry on?

I know Camshaft and Crankshaft correlation codes may mean that it’s timing is off. However, a VVT cam may be the cause or any other thing like the tensioner or the guide rails or sprockets too. This is why I want you to carry out proper scan using a good scan tool and also take live readings of the Camshaft advance and retardations of the camshafts on both banks (intake and exhausts)

It's easier dropping the engine to fix the timing (depending on what timing they intend setting)

Hi Jahgogo.

All the possible causes highlighted by kingrein were dead on.

To get a good foundation of what the problem is, how often do you change your oil? And which oil do you use?

Good evening Professionals,

I use Camry 08, whenever I accelerate, i hear sound like an iron is scratching the floor or something. My mechanic said it's 'flywheel" I'm not sure if I spelt it correctly, they say the iron is between the engine and the gear.

I don't know if that's true

Also, my ABS and break light shows on the dashboard, and my RPM and speedometer has not been reading. Two rewirers said I need to change my ABS Box, another two different rewirers said I'll need to buy another dashboard.

Pls what do u think guys, I don't want to do and error with them because it will cost me money.

Hi guys, I travelled to Owerri last December with my car, on getting to Owerri my brakes started malfunctioning and I managed it to irate just like 3-4 kilometers to town

I parked near mechanic workshop and I got down from the car and called one mechanic to help me with the brakes and he told me to reverse and enter the workshop but the ignition key didn't turn again, we tried our best all to no avail.
I was told to look for key cutters still the same so we decided to break the key and I managed it to my house.
I later bought another complete steering with key and the electrician fitted it and I left the car with my mechanic because he was unable to finish the repairs

I personally locked the car with the follow come key (remote control) and handed it to the mechanic
The following day when I got there I don't know how or which of the keys he used to open the car and I called his attention to the central lock not working, my butt, fuel tank refuse to open and we break the fuel tank to enable me buy.

Mechanic said it will normalize but till January
Nothing happened, I called my electrician from Lagos and
he charged me 30k and I gave him 15k advance to come and repair it in Ondo but after collecting the money he started with one excuse or another till after election he blocked me and I can't reach him my wife called he promised before the end of April all to no avail.
His number is 08023966183
The central lock icon is on I can't lock the car neither can I open the butt since December till date, can someone help me,

Car Zafira 2008 model.

thank for your response, it still boil down to dropping the engine last last , because I was just hoping it what can be fixed without dropping engine. Maybe cleaning the solenoid or other sensor. 😢

Before you embark on doing the more difficult things, try the easy ones.

These codes usually only occur on one bank at a time. I asked you about when last you changed oil and the grade because the only thing operationally common to both banks is the oil. If the oil used in the car before you got it was mineral oil, the new synthetic oil you have there might cause temporary sludge buildup in the engine due to its cleaning properties. Dirty/contaminated oil can trigger those codes. When the ECM issues commands to the OCVs to advance or retard timing and does not see a phase change through the CMP sensors, it will set those codes.

This being said, before you go through the route of "dropping the engine" as your mecho insists, try to remove the OCVs on both banks. Clean them by soaking them in a solvent like petrol or get carb cleaner. Test them(momentarily) with battery voltage by supplying power to them and pay attention to hear a sharp clicking sound. You can also perform resistance test using multimeter. The reading you should be looking for is 6.9ohms to roughly 8ohms.

DO NOT DO ANYTHING SERIOUS UNTIL YOU RULE OUT ALL THE SIMPLE STUFF!!!

Okay, it has a part number, send me the part number via WhatsApp 07034581213.

If you need the OEM, it’s very expensive. It’s around 120k but only available on order.

Those white powdery substance are dried sulphuric acid from the battery corrosion. Clean and wash off the terminals, then use grease or household Vaseline to coat all over the battery terminal. You should be fine.

Good day Engr,

My car (Corolla 08) has been misfiring and jerking , it was scanned and this code (P0302),
What we have done so far, We change all the plug, we change all the coil, and the nozzles were serviced,
The fuel pump was also changed, And the car still jerks and misfires ,

Pls advice,

Thanks
the scan you did was useless if after getting P0302 you went ahead to change all plugs, coils and nozzles, even fuel pump. There was no need doing that scan. Your problem is with cylinder 2. No coil issue. No fuel pump issue. I'm sure you threw in the wrong plug. Better put back your old plugs. U need to check the compression of that cylinder 2.
