So I have exactly 1 million naira in my bank account and I'll be 22 by 27th of this month (this is not a flex on anybody please)
I don't currently have a job, I live in Lagos and with my parents. But a lot of things happening here and I feel like if I don't leave soon, I might just die.

I plan to move to Akwa Ibom state to go and start a new life on my own even though I haven't been there before. I have never smoked a cigarette in my life, I don't smoke. I'm still a virgin, never had sex in my entire life,I don't womanise, I have Zero friends.

So my plan is to move to the state, secure a cheap accommodation like a single room self contain that should not cost anything more than 100-120k a year. After I secure accommodation, I plan on searching for a job that can at least pay the bills. And probably set up a POS business with some of the money that someone else can be running for me. I don't eat too much and I know how to cook.

Now my question is this. Will I be able to survive for some time in the state with that amount of money pending till I get a job?
And how much is the average rent for a single room self contain in akwa Ibom?

I I'm in the state and what the first writer wrote about accommodation is correct. The bike things doesn't always end well especially the used one. Been there.

My brother you need that degree. You won't understand now but one day you go understand am. It is not easy out there and 1 million will not take you far and going back to your parents won't be easy.

Yen eka, you did not advise him that the cost of living in Uyo/Eket/Ikot Abasi etc and generally in Akwa Ibom is very high compared to Lagos/South West/Middle Belt or Northern states. Food & transportation is cheaper in Lagos than in Akwa Ibom

More importantly, small businesses like POS etc thrive in Lagos more than Uyo, because of the population & commercial activities in Lagos

If he pays for 2 years at 150k, it means 300k is gone. Food is very expensive in Uyo. Ik meat in Lagos is 3K meat in Uyo, same for yam, potatoes & anything not derived from the state. Provisions/Consumables/Toiletries are more expensive in Uyo

On the other hand - fish, crayfish, palm oil, vegetables & other items derived from the state are cheaper.

Depends on the area. Benin is calm compared to the larger Edo state. Just don't reveal cash publicly, POS is off the list. Package yourself well for other jobs or Business. A room self contain, a really good one won't cost more than 80k without any agent stuff

Do not I repeat do not for any reason buy bike for someone to drive for you. You will not get anything in return. At the end you will loose the bike. Meanwhile motorcycle is not allowed within Uyo metropolis, we have only Keke. But why drop out of school? My advice to you is to use that money to go back to school and complete the program. If you are sure you cannot read and pass your exams no need to waste your time in academics go straight, learn a trade immediately. Make sure you go for a trade you are excited about, something you love doing.
