Phayie: I've had the FBN MMF for about 8 years now. Good rates, usually a little higher than Tbills and Commercial Papers and it's very accessible. You can withdraw easily. There was a time it hit about 19% or so 1 Like 1 Share |

TouchOfSpice: One of the best ways to invest your money in Nigeria is to buy real estate or land from a reputable company that offers installment payment options. This way, you can avoid the low returns since most commercial banks loan out these money for enterprises for returns. Real estate market prices are not regulated in Nigeria and can increase significantly in a short period of time, especially if you buy from a company that has a good track record and a valid title, preferably a Certificate of Occupancy (COC). |

Elders I stay in a shared apartment Our daughters have been enrolled for reception in September The sch has required we submit our council tax and tenancy agreement to complete registration. We both got the same sch for our daughters and share same address. How best do we go about this... Thank you guys.. The tenancy agreement is not in our name but we pay the council taxes up to date |

if you're looking to get some of the relative stability of MMFs, but without the risk of Naira devaluation, you can consider the S & P 500. It has an average return of about 9 - 11% (depending on how you calculate) over the past ~100 years. It's denominated in USD but that might not necessarily be a bad thing as it appears the $ is trending stronger against the £. There are several index funds that track it, but the VUSA is easy to recommend, being from Vanguard, one of the biggest investment companies globally, and having minimal fees. There are other things to consider - timeline (it's best for long-term investments), tax, portfolio diversity etc. There are also a wide range of other indexes you can track e.g. FTSE 100 and 250, NASDAQ 100 etc. You can even do a global equity index. Ultimately, DYOR. 4 Likes |

OmichaelO: Sure, your driving instructor might be able to help. You can also use ‘ drivinginstructorhub dot co dot Uk’ they render the service as well at a more cheaper rate, it might take longer to get a date though. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Good evening all… I’ll be traveling to Derby in August. I’m in need of a studio apartment or an en-suit room in a shared apartment. Any house agents in the house? Any help will be greatly appreciated. |

Chreze: Better ó 🤣. The whole thing is absurd. I remember writing my dissertation and was comparing the limits in different countries, I refused to write the £ equivalent like I did for others, because I was just too embarrassed. I left it at 500,000 Naira. 2 Likes |

Has anyone here added someone to their credit card? Authorized user Does it have an effect one one's credit and does it help boost the other party's score too? |

hustla: This is what I discussed month's ago, when I mentioned piggybacking off someone's credit card, if obtaining a cc, was proving difficult........ It would help boost the piggybackers cc score, because that authorised user, is now registered on the credit card database........ 2 Likes |

hustla: Most credit card companies would require a biometric passport copy/driving licence + recent bank statement, from the piggybacker........ |
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Owoado(m): 8:24am On Jun 23, 2023 |
hustla:I believe it should help cos the additional party now has their details in the CC database. For mine, the additional party just needed to download the CC App and register the card, and upload their BRP (for confirming the user's identity) 1 Like |
