What is really happening in your current workplace now concerning the layoff of the workers due to the high cost of running their businesses?

My company just sacked close to 20 of their staffs and trying to train the remaining workers on how to multitask in various positions.

I just pity those that are sacked especially married men.

How do they cope?

Is there any hope for them to get another job?

With what is going on in this company, is there any company ready to take more staff?
Never depend on one source of income...especially salary..e go do you like film trick.

How do you buy investment when average workers salary is hardly enough to feed and take care of their basic needs?

See,can I say one of the major problems with us is lack of financial education.

U can never be rich if u are that kind of person that expects huge amount of money at a swoop.

U can never be rich if u don't plan ur finances.

You can never be rich if you rely on other people's opinion for everything and you can never be rich if
you dont create additional income stream.

In addition, don't always generalised,I personally earn less than 150k a month, but my side income generates more than 3million monthly sometimes more, sometimes below.

That is the power of building a business.

Finally,a bad investment is better than no investment.

It is not big money that makes one rich or better financially.

It is consistency of income that makes a sensible person rich.
u are absolutely sir. But when u take a very good look at Nigeria and Nigerians as a whole, family income of 90k per month, how much do u tink they can save?
Back then, is very easy for security man to rent face me I slap u and renew it than now.
I do mingle with people of different class, many can't renew their rent right now, many can't feed right now, many can't go to d hospital nor afford drugs right now, how do they save from d little that they are earning

If u start working in any organisation, from the first day, start buying investment with ur money.

The world especially Nigeria is too harsh not to have secondary income.
some people's salary can barely sustain them, especially now that government policies have reduced the purchasing power and you are talking about investment.

When u hear this phrase " save for the rainy days" now u and I can see that,it is now making sense.

See,one greatest mistake anyone shouldn't do is underestimating the power of little income.

When I was in the banking sector,as a fresher from the University,I can tell for free that I was just earning 48k before it grew to what it was then.

Na follow, follow dey make people blind for Nigeria. Read books on finance and take a hard decision for your life and live for the betterment of tomorrow.

If you what to make it from ur little income, save consistently and start investing in risky investments as a young man and see thing change for the better.

Finally,keep little or no friends.

Goodluck to u.

Those school proprietors(owners) should reduce the exorbitant school fees they charge parents if not I see lot of kids either changing too a more affordable one or having home lessons and or increase salaries of teachers which presently is nothing to write home about.. Bills are just pilling up. School fees, hospital fee, feeding, light bill, water bill, house rent, shop rent, security bill, data/call bills etc

When the purchasing power was good, what happened?

I am not against the people but the govt. Let us in bad or good govt save money for the rainy days.

It is very important.

You live in alternate reality but hope you wake up and start living in real life one day. If you side income generate 3 million as you claimed, you need to quit you full time job and make your side hustle full time job but you and I know your side hustle is imaginary just like your full time job.
Making story up to make you feel better is like getting high to avoid your problems. when the effect of the drug wane, your problems still waiting for you. I make my money in $$$ so we are not competing.

Refocus your priorities
Redesign your priorities
Realign your priorities

How do u want them to reduce school fees when ur govt has increased tuition fee of higher institution and increased tax on same proprietors

There was no other option but to end the subsidy.

Last year, debt servicing was higher than government revenues. This year, it was estimated that debt servicing would consume 96% of government revenue. Where then is the $10b for petrol subsidy will come from? The massive increase in the debt burden over the years was government borrowing money to provide the subsidy.

Did you lose your job. And are you ready to sacrifice your job to accomplish the aim of government.
Because they want to remove subsidy should a family man be made a scapegoat.
