Am so happy today, I passed my practical test on second attempt though with just three minor faults. Please I want to ask, do I need to inform my insurance of my new license status or do I still stick to my former status which was International license. If yes, please why? 2 Likes |

ehizario2012:Sorry oh, but why is it at the point of purchase you thought of insurance? Use these for insurance. Mind you, if your insurance is starting today, it's likely going to be slightly higher. You might be better off leaving the car and picking it up another day or asking the vendor to move it to your home. https://car-journey.comparethemarket.com/?AFFCLIE=FL46&gclid=Cj0KCQjwpc-oBhCGARIsAH6ote9eOYZN1f94lYgcPjccl7a-FH9TKI6R4zON9wM6GfffffE2nQC7AVQaAkgHEALw_wcB&wip=651449676520d16288a2d5f8#_=_ https://motor.confused.com/CarDetails?nt=1 3 Likes 1 Share |

ehizario2012: You can get insurance with an international drivers license. Check out marshmallow…they tend to offer good rates to immigrants just coming in with a driving history. https://www.marshmallow.com/ 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Hclinton: Congrats on passing your test. Don't inform your insurance company!!! Like you I passed in August and went ahead to inform them (hastings direct), and was charged a one off fee of almost GBP 100. I asked why and the agent said because I was a 'new' UK driver, so my risk was higher. Didn't make sense but I had to follow-through because I had updated my information. So my advise: stay silent, wait till end of your current tenure and go back on the market for a cheaper deal. my Intl drivers licence also expired i.e I was using it for more than 12months which is also risky, so had to update my details at all costs. 2 Likes |

LionInZion: Bro, no be today e start. All those Senators all own business in African countries. They have back ups here and there. But, they would never initiate and sustain policies that would make agro business thrive for the common man. Uganda and Kenya are reaping massively from agro export. With our arable farmlands in Naija herdsmen no go allow you see road. Imagine the market sesame, ginger, hibiscus (which we relegated to making zobo) , cashew, stoneflower, etc control globally. Indians and Lebanese and Chinese guys with their heavy capital and favours from greasing palms are exploiting these markets in naija. I remember how these guys would go to farm gate and because they are fair and yellow , they spoil the price and the unexposed natives who have not seen oyibo fall over themselves to sell to them. I suddenly become "Omo yigbo" as better don come. The problem of that country is just deep rooted. Abi na the wahala of getting goods into the ports? Chai... Naija needs a miracle. 2 Likes |

lavida001: Indians took the Cashew and Cocoa market Lebanese took the charcoal market Chinese took the wood and solid minerals market. These guys buy direct from the source. They have more support from the government and even the locals. Smh 1 Like |

triplo3: That’s a terrible idea. The moment you become a fully licensed driver your previous insurance becomes invalid which means first it’s a crime to continue driving, and if you have any accident your insurance company will not cover. 100 pounds is not worth that risk. 7 Likes |

Hi guys, Please a friend needs advice. She is a carer in a care home. One of the nurses said she recieved a complaint about her from a resident. The resident said she pin him to the wall, rough handled him and he felt scared for his life. She said nothing like that ever happened and in fact the man even praised her that she was one of the best carers to attend to him and always commend her effort everyone. But she was shocked at the sudden change of tone. There was no bruise or anything physical on the resident. However, she said the nurse in question hated her so much and have told many lies about her to the manager to get her sacked. The same nurse had previously made the owner to sack an African carer and she is the only African carer left they were just 2 before. The issue is the resident is saying he is contacting his lawyers ( she believes the nurse is pressurising him to do so). The owner sent her a letter postponing her regular review until she hears from her lawyers. Please what do you advise my friend to do cos she is worried. |

Progressivegee: Any CCTV footage? Did she document her last encounter with him properly? I have someone who was just cleared after 11 months last week. The old woman accused him of handling her breasts. Old woman wey don dey reach 90 o. These wicked people kept postponing their so called panel even after police had done their own investigations and cleared him. We prayed o He also started writing petitions. So it could be a long journey anyhow. A second guy was framed by his co-workers (white dudes) that they saw him force-feeding a resident. That one just got called off after 5 months... So just make sure her documentation has no loophole. |

rinzylee: The man didn't complain to her, there was no incident to document except the normal service she provided the man which was documented. |

Hclinton: Yes inform them. If you don't inform them, the insurance will be on your int'l licence which is now invalid making the insurance invalid. You won't be able to make a in the event of an accident and this may be costly. Except you want to continue to drive on the int'l license and not the UK license. |

My boyfriend who has a visitor visa to Uk was denied boarding by Royal air maroc official because his return ticket is from Turkish airline. As per policies, I want to be believe all airlines are independent and royal air has no business with his return ticket. I am so pained, frustrated and confused. What can I do? |
