A question on minimum living wage is appropriate and should not be less than NGN150,000.00 per month. The subsidy removal and unifying of exchange rate generated so much inflation.

For a family of four like myself, 500k looks good. Below is how I break it down, on monthly basis.

Food and other provisions - 100k
Rent - 360k
Domestic Water - 10k
Drinking Water - 15k
Electricity - 10k
School fees for two kids (after taking average as 1st term is always higher) - 45k
Car Fueling and Maintenance - 75k
Cooking Gas - 9.5k
Contributory, Gift and Charity - 30k
Clothing - 30k
Occasional Outing With Family - 15k
Medicals - 15k
Save for the rainy day - 50k
Online Skills Learning - 10k
Internet and cable subscriptions - 15k

My expenses on monthly basis are to the tune of N429,500

If you think this is too high, just know that every individual cuts their suit according to their size. Moreover, if this appears too little to barely cater for your monthly provisions, I pray one day I match this type of stability and beyond.
You are one of the riches Nigerians.
Imagine a school teacher with salary of 19k monthly

You don't pay for rent every month.

Instead of 15k medical, why not HMO?

Depends on the location.

200k in ilorin for example is like 500k in lagos. In a place like kebbi state, you'll live well on a 50k salary self.

In lagos, as a single guy, anything below 450 is suffering. If you earn like 300, you can still manage well a bit but you might suffer

Entry Level / Fresh Graduate - Anything less than 200k is slavery
Mid Level - Anything less than 350k, be in the job market and look for better offers
Senior - If you are a senior person in your career, anything less than 500k is slavery. Rethink your options.

People are earning N2M and above monthly with less than 10 years experience. Its all about gaining skills, certifications and experience in the right companies.

The best industries to work are Banking, BIG 4, Oil and Gas and Telecommunications. Forget Tech, unless you have years of experience, entry level pay is peanuts.

Considering the present economic situation and perpetual inflation in this country, a “good” take home salary in my opinion is at least the naira equivalent of $1000.

You are damn right.

That was a typo, 360k is actually what I pay per annum. So I save 30k every month to meet up with the 360k annually.

I stay in the north where rents are still relatively cheap.

That's with allowance but here is police last pay structure
Nigeria police salary is very poor
The salary of Nigeria police should start from at least 150K per month but it’s only 50K per month.

The Nigeria police officers have to pay for their own exams to get promotion and they have to pay from their own pocket for many things.
