Government of "we shall", "we will", "we're going to" and never "we have".

Always speaking in future tense while their blind followers hail them

No light to run your factory here and diesel is almost 1500 per liter. They'll definitely shut down as quickly as they opened.

Hope bro, hope.

Show some optimism.

It’s a beautiful move by the federal government and I pray it works.

If you are educated enough you should know that they can build a plant within the factory to generate their own electricity. Hate for the present government doesn't allow you people to reason well.

John Deere will rise to number 1 in Tractor...this is what HP did that Blackberry failed to do. Invest in Africa...we need massive tractor deployment...then other industries can come from this...like those that will be renting them, repairing them, those provide credits to buy them and so on.

Tractor assembly plant makes sense .... unlike the others before that were attracting car assembly plants which hurt rather than help the economy... but we were applauding. With tractors we can boost and expand the agriculture industry .... reduce imports and increase exports which would gradually strengthen the Naira. This part is a welcomed development.
But it is a part of a package.... let's chew on what was said before swallowing.

"Three key essential elements .... mechanization .... certified seeds ..... fertilizers. "

Mechanization .... the tractors .... and I like the idea of loans for small farmers to purchase and operate small farms. I'm totally against large scale farming in Nigeria/Africa.

Certified Seeds... this one is a trap. What is meant by this?.. since when seeds have to be "certified"? ... how do we get "certified seeds"? These are genetically modified seeds that will be pushed on us. Who controls the seeds controls the crops. To plant another crop one has to get seeds from the producer .... seeds from the plant will not germinate. Cross pollination from these modified crops with natural crops will affect the natural crops and stop them from reproducing. Then who will be in control? NEWSFLASH...Bill Gates is now into agriculture ... what can be pushed via vaccines can now be pushed in crops. Population control is still on the agenda. Can you recall immediately after the elections he visited Tinubu? I say no more.

Fertilizers... who will be providing fertilizers?

Only one component will benefit Nigeria .... we should get the tractors and move on. Note:..... Europe does not import GMO products... so whonare we going to export to..... the US?

While this is a step in a good direction...it must be noted that Nigerians are very poor and cannot afford new cars.....so they might prefer tokunbo tractors too.....

In the long run, we'll realize zero difference from what we are currently facing. They will fail to negotiate a good interest rate for a credit facility for the masses. Know this and find peace

🙏🧎‍♂️🧎🧎‍♀️Abeg. We urgently need this. Please. Let us donate lands to them for the construction.
Nigeria is too backward in the area of agricultural mechanization.

I always laugh when I see those mama and papa dem using hoes and cutlasses to work on farms.

The kind of massive and highly automated farm machines that are on one person who is even an illiterate here in obodo oyinbo is extremely phenomenon.

One farmer’s farm here may be able to feed a state like Bayelsa in Nigeria.

Apologies to my Bayelsan people. I am only using it as just an example. I don’t mean to be little you.

We need food sufficiency, abeg. No let us sabotage dis 1. Abeg. Na ground I dey.

We need more than tractors. We need all those other equipments too and exposure on farm layout.

Make our government go Netherlands too and bring expertise to come and help us. Nigerians are suffering.

Abeg.

They will generate their own power. A lot of companies have been doing this for decades in Nigeria without shouting.

Such company is not like a blacksmith shop in our village.
You think for them to express interest in setting up in Nigeria, they haven’t considered Nigeria’s electricity problems?

Come to think of it, there used to be more than one tractors manufacturing company in Nigeria in the early 70s and 80s around present Bauchi State and one other Northern states, if I remember correctly. I stand to be corrected.
