“A total of 15,753 sat the examination in 38 centres across the country; out of this, we have 10,636 that passed, which is about 72.9 per cent and those that failed are 3,963,” Where was this organisation when LeonSaab was going to school and being taught by the kind of teachers that fail this exam? |

Teaching in primary and secondary school in Nigeria is viewed as "watin man go do".it is not a passion, If you visit some schools in this country, tomatoes seller in the market speaks better than them, most of them got employed through bribery and curruption. They can't spell correctly, speaks good English language or even write lesson note. 1 Like |

It's been like a whole year since the UK Educational Department was like, "Yo, we're coming to snatch up some teachers," and everyone was super hyped, especially 'cause teachers here don't get much love. They dropped this bomb in February, and teachers went into full prep mode, and let me tell you, it wasn't a cakewalk. It was all about spending, spending, spending – hitting up the old university to dig out certificates, and if you didn't have an international passport, you were scrambling to get one. Gotta be ready when those recruitment folks roll in. They did the same drill for medical personnel, and guess what, they showed up. Fast forward through March, April, and now, bam, it's December. Ain't nobody seen hide nor hair of those recruiters. Cue the awareness alarm! This piece is all about making noise – like, did they secretly recruit, 'cause it's been radio silence. So here I am, dropping this to shout out if anyone got that golden call from the UK government for Teach for England. We were out here prepping, spending cash, hitting up our old unis for certificates we didn't even know existed. Talking about teaching vibes, the language we used – like, who knew we needed a certificate for that? Or checking if our alma maters vibed with English during our undergrad days. Some even took it to the next level, getting medically cleared, just to dodge any curveballs. And now, crickets. UK government, you gotta spill the tea. Is anybody out there who got that Teach for England gig after the big announcement? Asking for a friend. |

What is professional about this TRCN because as for me, it is just an ordinary govt agency "stealing" money from teachers. A so called professional body that doesn't see to the well being of the group they represent. No training, no seminar no educational update. In fact this body ought to be scrapped. |

If that test is administered to the Private School Teachers of the same state, it would have been too simple. You fluent and brilliant in school, got a government job you become dullard due to lawlessness work environment. |
