What about Taiwo Awoniyi, is he no longer plying his trade at Nottingham forest,or is he not invited for afcon. I can't find his name on the list.

Lol!!! E don be for Nottingham forest.

When they were collecting this long list of African players, proper risk analysis would have helped them put contingency plan in plan for situations like this.

Or don't you think so?

I think spurs then the flies out immediately to meet the national squad. Man utd seems to have approached them for this.

Nottingham Forest losing their entire defence

This is why major clubs hardly sign African players. I wonder why this competition cannot be squeezed into summer holiday when all major leagues have been concluded.

More attention would even be attracted to the competition just like Copa America.

This shows Africa is a very important factor when it comes to European football.
Yeah absolutely right. Ligue 1 had a whooping 56 or thereabout Africans going for AFCON.

We have said this times without number. Nations cup can only be staged in the early part of the year so that rain will not disturb. If you take afcon to June, even one match u won't play because rain will scatter everything. Even fans won't be able to come out and watch.

So ETH didn't sign any goal keeper to cover for Onana pending when he'll return from AFCON?

Anyways considering that he's a basket, Cameroon wouldn't cross the group stage and he'll be back after a few days.

He may not return to ManU

Before Onana came to Man Utd he was highly rated in the world

Onana will play in Man United’s FA cup game and their premier league game against Tottenham before leaving for Afcon
Mind you the match against Tottenham is on the 14th and Cameroun’s first game at Afcon is on the 15th

Interesting... Is Man United that dependent on him?!! That means they don't have much faith in Bayindir.

Making him miss his country's first game at the tournament is just weird.

Thanks for the info.

I don’t think he will miss his country’s first game cos he’d be flying down to Ivory Coast almost immediately after their match against Tottenham. He’s Cameroun’s undisputed number one so his spot is guaranteed
