Their is nothing like conference visa.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by tony2478: 8:46am On Mar 05
I know there is nothing like Conference Visa but my Visit Visa is to primarily attend a business conference,so I want to know if my Employer is fully Sponsoring my trip as a senior staff of the company.

If my Employer is fully Sponsoring and am contributing like 1 pound,if I don't have much money in my salary account.I hope it will fly.

I need a guide please.

@giselle,Please I will sincerely respond to your current response by referring to my message as fake or made up.I really don't understand how you sometime respond to people on this platform.

So what makes me a fake,is that I asked for help on how to apply for a visit visa to attend a conference visa.

You are too quick to judge.plesse be guided

Let me keep it there for now.

It's not a letter you can just type like that nah. You need to lay bare the reasons you were denied for in the first place and address each and every one of them.

There is no fix to flex or address all denials

What bloody return of document?!

Do you mean you cancelled the application?

I'm sorry but for a cancelled application she will need to go there physically to get this sorted.

If you didn't cancel it, just wait for the damned thing to turn green although you mentioned it's been since January so it might be taking a long while.

I know it seems a long time she did biometrics but Your calls and paid emails are just going for vanishing and serve to further disrupt the process by jinxing it. cheesy

Pls Don't do the work of the visa officer yourself

Thanks for this. Not a “bloody return of document” I didn’t cancel the application. The document return mean her passport return. I’m just worried considering how long it’s taking.

Hello Gurus,
I am trying to book an appointment with TLS Ikeja for biometrics. According to what I heard, it is free in Ikeja. However, each time I try, it doesn't take me to the proceed to checkout. But if I pick one of the paid services, it gives me a checkout option. What am I doing wrong? Is it a must to pay when choosing Ikeja?
Hi.
Having same challenge now.

How did you go about yours?

Dates available, once you select, it will not take you to checkout.

Why are these guys like this?

Select a paid service na, I think is around 87k excluding DHL delivery.
But why the deception?

I'm having same challenge and just stopped a while ago to make enquiries here on Nairaland.

Hello everyone, I am trying to apply for my dependant in nigeria to come join me in the uk for a visa less than three years. What I was shown threw me off balance, if made a mistake.
I was told to pay 384 pounds for standard application. I guess its supposed to be 284 pounds.
Also, I don't understand the application for pbs ,start up written alongside the amount.
Thanks everyone.

You quoted 374 usd down.. pls check the currency. 1 usd is not equal to 1 £. Maybe that’s where the confusion is setting in.

We should try and make our own country work so that no one will exploit you. However, is not by force, you can search and wait for free service. Is optional.

The thing is when will free option be available?

Event is Scheduled for 10th April, hence bio needs to be done latest 7th, to allow for a month decision making.

I know it's gonna be granted though

Like I said, is optional. You can figure it out weda you want to wait for the free appointment or go for premium, the choice is yours. Most times, visa doesn't take up to 1month, once your application is tight, it can take less than 7 working days.

No body is needing anything at TLS office in Lagos, if the Eco feels that they needed additional documents I think for form RWP 6.2. they will email you direct to provide it or if they feel the once is provided is ok but not convinced, your visa will be denied. This is the reason why I keep telling people to be very prepared before application, avoid room for mistakes or errors. Eco are just looking for any slightest reason to deny people visa.

The gospel truth is NO. You need to finish your visa application before march 11th if not, you can't bring dependant until your pay rises to the new salary threshold for family visa. But if you are a health worker, the march 11th is not for you, but care work no go work after 11th.

Pls, do you mean that as a person on care work visa I can still bring my family even after March 11 if my salary meets a certain threshold ?? If yes pls how much is the salary threshold ??

£38,700. You can't just meet it with care work. The only people who are eligible for the amount is newly recruited Health workers from April 11th going forward, the idea is to reduce and discourage trust from recruiting abroad health workers.

I am a medical doctor intending to apply for visitors visa to enable me write my PLAB2 in April.
However I have 2 concerns
1st…I have been previously denied a multiple entry visit visa to Ireland last year and upon appeal it was denied on 2 reasons ;
Why I didn’t visit my fiancé in the UK instead
The date I planned on returning had passed before the date the appeal officer reviewed my case. (Irish visitors visa takes 8weeks after biometrics to get a decision and about 3weeks on an appeal case)
N/b; my husband then fiancé lives in the UK and we had planned on having a pre wedding vacation in Ireland And that was why I didn’t apply for a visit visa to the UK then.

2nd….. my hubby lives in the UK on post study visa and would be sponsoring my air ticket and accommodation as my exam is far from where he lives so I will be booking a hotel. I will take care of my feeding and internal transport.

I am worried that having my hubby there may be disadvantageous regarding my evidence/obligation to return.

I will be submitting my bank statements of 6months as I am gainfully employed and earn 300k after taxes.

I would also like to state that I contributed about 1.8m to my wedding in November so the expenses will reflect in my October, November and December bank statements and they are duly labeled. I normally spend between 40k-70k of my salary monthly. I have about 2.6m in my account

How do I go about it?
What are my chances of getting my visa approved

Then wait for UKVISABRP mail confirming refusal or approval by tomorrow, just keep checking your mail, but in most cases, is approval. Congratulations in advance.
