A woman wanted to travel & to see her sibling who invited her because they'd not seen in more than a year & her husband says no. She involves her parents & pastor & even her best friend, they all have different opinions. Some said go, some said stay.

As a married woman, whose words should be taken in highest regards?

1. Her siblings that she's spent all her life with
2. Her parents that gave birth to her
3. Her pastor that sees visions & guides her spiritually
4. Her husband
5. Her best friends that she's known from childhood

Let's have matured responses from experienced and responsible nairalanders.

Her Husband.

This isn’t difficult na. There is nothing to think or argue much about.

He (THE HUSBAND) is the one to Protect Her and the Kids; Provide for her; Lead the family unit; Set perfect examples for the kids; Expand the family’s power and influence; and expand the family’s wealth.

If a man is NOT useful to you considering the above, especially if the man is not taking concrete steps to protect you in his little way, then you didn’t marry a man. It is why you MUST CHOOSE WISELY and ensure you choose A MAN THAT YOU ARE WILLING TO READILY FOLLOW! A Man that can brain storm with you, lead you, support you and stand firm by/before/behind you and stimulate you to be your BEST SELF.

This has nothing to do with whether you earn more than him or not or who earns the highest pay. The question is can you trust and follow this man’s leadership on critical decisions of your life. Is he a man that has your best interest and is eager to see you succeed ?

Consider these before being pressured into marrying any fool with a Pe. NIS.

The answer to this question was very obvious when the world was still a normal place, it was visible to the blind and audible to the deaf shocked. A "wife" should obey the person that "paid her bride price" , if the pastor paid it, then she can obey her pastor undecided, that is why women should always be careful whom they get married to, if you marry nonsense, you must be willing to obey nonsense instructions shocked

Nah woman of before go obey, even if there's no valid reason for denying her to see her blood family. But now try it on most women.
you are seeing the issue from a shallow and naive perspective, that the man refused such visit means there is an underlying factor behind it,a normal man in a happy home cannot refuse such visit if asked respectfully but a distressed man in a toxic and combative marriage will refuse such visit to maintain his honor and dignity as the head of the house, that the woman called all those people to intervene shows the type of woman she is a normal woman will back down and switch on feminine mode and the consent to travel will be given in a week,as a wife never challenge the authority of your husband, before heaven and man he is ordained by God to be the head of the family

Why would you deny your wife to see her family, justify and Educate us please

For a woman to be a “glory” to her husband requires her to show proper regard for his headship. Even when her husband is not a faithful worshiper of God, she should remain submissive and support his decisions as the head of the house. She ought to maintain praiseworthy conduct and prove herself to be a real credit to her husband. This is in harmony with the counsel given by the apostle Peter: “You wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, in order that, if any are not obedient to the word, they may be won without a word through the conduct of their wives, because of having been eyewitnesses of your chaste conduct together with deep respect. . . . [Let your adornment] be the secret person of the heart in the incorruptible apparel of the quiet and mild spirit, which is of great value in the eyes of God.”—1 Pet. 3:1-4.

In her submission, the Christian woman should display a “quiet and mild spirit.” This means that, regardless of the circumstances, her dominant feeling should be one of calmness and an even temper, not aggressive. Her heart should move her to manifest proper subjection to her husbandly head. This was the case with Abraham’s wife Sarah. As Peter noted: “So, too, formerly the holy women who were hoping in God used to adorn themselves, subjecting themselves to their own husbands, as Sarah used to obey Abraham, calling him ‘lord.”’ (1 Pet. 3:5, 6) Sarah referred to her husband as “lord” not merely audibly for others to hear, but even “inside herself.”—Gen. 18:12.

For a Christian woman to be like Sarah would, of course, mean never doing anything contrary to God’s will. This is because she is bound by the superior law of God and of Christ. Hence when her husband’s “law” interferes with true worship, she, like the apostles in the first century C.E., would ‘obey God as ruler rather than a man.’ (Acts 5:29) In all other areas, however, her submission to her husband should be exemplary.

I hope you get the point which is so long whatever the husband directs in not against God's own standards and laws the woman must be submissive and obey it

It's a covenant thing. It's about the covenant that's bigger between this woman and those other people.

You should know that the covenant between the woman and her husband is greater than that of anyone. So she should obey her husband.

This is what most siblings don't understand. The covenant between husband and wife is greater than the one between them and their siblings

The ones that come close are that of :

The parents
A God assigned pastor over them.

You should see how a husband handled such covenant in the movie, The Prostitute. See my bio for the link.. or see it below

She should listen to all of them and use her God given wisdom to choose what to apply.

Don't mind them. Nonsense. It's only in Nigeria that being a wife translates to being a slave. The husband himself is alpha and omega, so he doesn't need to listen to anyone.
