I have NEVER regretted relocating abroad! I mean, what it would've taken me twenty years to achieve in naija... it took me five years. If you know, you know.
Ask those best students or the 80s and 90s who didn't....Stay back and became lecturers are crying for salary the dullards got to abroad started to hustle and are doing 10times better after just five years .....
You can get good education and rise to the top...
Abroad is not just UK or US....You have Germany, France , ....
Luxemburg they are very rich Islands looking for people ....
You have just one Life ......Live it well

Only a person who is deluded or have ties with politicians or certain ways of making illicit funds and protected by Nigeria that will love Nigeria. Which of these categories do you belong in?
Don't mind him ....why won't a thieving NNPC staff child like Nigeria.....Like the Tinubu's, and co's ....A country that they get wealthy at the expense of the poor would be a good country...And they would always Bless that country especially when they have access to steal Public funds

Sir o

If you have skills or develop some, you would relish every moment you live in that part of the world.
Many Nollywood guys who relocated living in the same US with you won't agree with this your statements.
Bukky Wright relocated and started a new career in IT, she's a beauty to behold. Check her out on LinkedIn. If you are nobody or a little above average in Nigeria, your best bet to be above average in the State is to adapt and learn skills that will put you ahead. You don't go to the US and feel you will be a King when you don't bring anything to the table.
Stephanie Okereke, Genevieve, and many more can't share these regrets with you sir

Japaaism was a virus that nobody saw coming through, the best and only way to japaa and live/lead a comfortable life is through studies, i mean go over there do your masters and gbam you'll be landed a good job, you dey find greener pasture and you no sit down listen to know the cons and pro, imagine that 37yrs old lawyer.

The bolded is a big lie.

Come and see medical doctors driving uber abroad. Come and see doctorate holders doing security guards for stores.

The only way to live a comfortable life is being well skilled in a much sought-after career.

I remember a friend that studied computer science (Bsc in Nigeria) and Software Engineering (Msc, UK). Like almost 90% of Nigerians abroad school (trust me I was not exageratting), they usually pay someone to do their school assignment for them while they go out to work and work in order to make money to pay bills and tuition fee.

After graduation, he applied for a Software Developer job. He was invited for an interview. He was made to solve a problem on a computer. They even told him he could google and he was not limited by time. The guy looked at the problem, he had no clue, he used the other exit to go out. I bet those guys would think he raptured by the time they got back to where he was and he wasnt no more there.

They do not care about your certificates but what you can offer. So you need to be a thoroughbred professional to really ball comfortably over there.

With the Tiktik Beta Creator program, if he starts a Tiktok channel, he should be earning $30k monthly within 6months directly from Tiktok itself.

He already has the star power, so getting followers won't be a problem. All he needs to do is talk about his life in rhe US so far, driving an Uber and so on.

Even within the first 60days, he will earn over $5,000.

Many of them are so stuck now that they can't even be as sincere to themselves as he is.

It's nothing but a wrong mindset to think that you will resent your own land/ country and expect that you will prosper on that land or overseas, it's impossible!

When you are not blessed in Nigeria, it's not because others are not doing well here in Nigeria, for most of you, you were horribly raised with the wrong mindset and indoctrinated to hate Nigeria by some of your parents who were part of those behind the multiple problems now facing the nation so you ended up and continued your life in a circle of negative minded unpatriotic people. You curse Nigeria, the land curses you back in multiple folds and nothing you sow in the land will prosper but if you bless Nigeria, the land blesses you back in multiples.

Until you wish Nigeria well and do your best in patriotism, you will never be blessed by this land and if you carry your resentment and hatred for Nigeria overseas, the rejection by Nigeria will follow you like your shadow.

The grass is always greener on the other side until you get there. What you are doing here in Nigeria is so valuable that if you nurture it well, you will one day be going overseas for business/ professional travels and enjoy vacations with your family and friends. And even if you still don't go overseas, you will be happy, safe, fulfilled and blessed here in Nigeria.

I can also give you 100 good stories home and away. But you must choose what you want in life. If fame does not pay your bills or give you peace you don't need it.
There are more broke but famous people here in Nigeria. Just check out the retinue of guys that went for BBN and came out with nothing. Being famous, they have to appear big, floss for the gram, do give aways and other shit when in reality, the money no dey enter like that. Hi
Bhol28:
Advanced countries are not for weak minds and lazy folks.I will japa to Yankee again in my next life if there is one and I find myself in countries like naija, jobless with B.sc at age 30 and later got a 70k job with an Msc. at almost 40.Reason is that as I am presently after being in this Yankee and hussle for just 7 years I am already a house owner in both here and in Naija.I can afford to change my car whenever I feel like.JUST WORK HARD AND PRAY FOR GRACE.Its easier to overcome poverty in advanced countries.
Abroad is good for people that depends on 9 to 5 jobs, but being a cab driver from being an actor is a step backwards... creative people are cashing out in naija...cars is not a problem to many business people in Nigeria, so many have houses and tenants too, but i understand if people go abroad to look for work, because of the poor wages in Nigeria, but people successful in their business here are living good. It's about choice, and decisions. Abroad is not better, because a lot there too are living at the bottom of the food chain.

Not in for comparison, but the fact still remains that it is easier to work legit and live a good life here than it is in naija.Dont forget I mentioned working hard and grace. It matters anywhere u are.I accept that some people in abroad too are not very okay financially but we all have access to other life necessities.Qualityhealthservice,security,e.t.c. Being a celeb in naija it might be a setback for him but u ask why he had to japa in the first instance.A lot of them coming to social media to complain have still not relocated back to naija.

Total rubbish! grin Naigeeria is a corrupt hell hole, only corupt lawless minded people can survive or live in Naigeeria, people with criminal and fraudulent mindset can call Naigeeria a good country. Because they believe or think a the fraudulent, lawless and corrupt system works well. When they then find themselves in a system that scrutinises citizens robustly, system that do not condone and applaud corruption, frauds and criminalities, system that do not applaud favouritsms because your brother, sister, friends or family members are in power, system that do not recognise so call mediocre Naigeerian celebrities and actors and actresses, system where influencial rich people buy the tax payers police to intimidate the poor and helpless citizens, system where the wealthy, influencial and proffessionals are equal in the eyes of the law.
System where corrupt thieves and criminals are not praised, system where you must pay tax, buy insurance for your car, learn how to drive before driving, system that hold people responsible for their actions and system where you cannot bribe your way out of artrocities, they cannot cope. grin grin grin

People like us who were born and bred in this working system are not complaining. Only mediocre Naigeerian so Called actors who are not recognised in a foreign country where he must compete with other citizens are crying. grin grin he wants where people will sing his praises for just calling himself an actor without contributing anything positive to or in the society.

Freestuff my ass! grin you think everyone is hungry here? I will give you freestuff rather.
