Bosses in the house, please I have an issue. I connected my 105w freezer to my 1050v inverter, and I got a message saying "short circuit, please check wiring". Please, what could be the cause of this? Other appliances like my TV, laptop, lights work normal. The message only shows when I plug the freezer, and then the inverter would go off. If it were an overload issue, it would have shown the overload warning message. This is where I'm getting confused. Thanks for all your contributions in advance. |

Nteogwuija:Its same thing as overload. Ur inverter cant carry the surge current at startup. Experienced same thing and had to upgrade my inverter to power the freezer. |

Drgreatone: Oh, but it carried it initially. Are u still on a 12v inverter or had to upgrade to 24v? I'm on a 1050va inverter and the rated power is 730w. It powered the chest freezer of 105w initially but later on started showing the short circuit error. I tried it on a table top fridge of 55w and it's still showing the short circuit error. What inverter size do you thing I can upgrade to, to at least power the 55w fridge? Thanks for the response, btw. |

saint2ace: The battery is a 220ah tubular battery. I don't use the battery below 50%, so it's usually almost full b4 I use it. As I chat with u now, I'm using the inverter to power an 8kg washing machine of 360w. It still baffles me that it gives that short circuit warning only when I plug the freezer of 105w and fridge of 55w. Every other things work normal, TV, chandelier, laptop, washing machine, etc. Only the fridge and freezer that the inverter gets to throw that warning. |

babalolaadebayor:since it is just light and phone charging, I will recommend you get about 5 USB light bulbs and a powerbank. A 30w solar panel with 5v output will suffice to recharge the powerbank 1 Like |
