That's 1 dollar. You can't buy this food for 1 dollar anywhere in Yankee. Although their minimum wage is of course higher.

Op. I don't know why you've spaghetti when you already have rice, all that money should've gone into more protein. More eggs healthy. More grains not so much.

No vex and don't mind me my brother.

This was earlier this year before dollar crisis.

I went out very early today and I was already feeling tired on my way home so I wouldn't be able to perform some magic In the kitchen.

So I decided to branch my favorite food spot to buy some food.

To my surprise, The quantity of their food is now so small and costly. My eyes were sore but I just had to pay up and left the place Immediately.

The Breakdown

Jollof Rice:N300
Fried Rice:N300
Spaghetti:N200
Beef:N400
Egg:N200
Container:N200

Thank You.

That's how I used to buy my Food. I actually wanted to add Beans, Fried Plantain, Moi Moi, and Salad.

But the current situation of things coupled with my bad mood actually made me bought the food that way and left the place.

I was not happy when I saw the content of the Rice he sold in the Container.

Cooking at home can sometimes be more expensive

yeah especially for a single person. More time and energy consuming as well if you want better combinations.

After the whole thing, you'll now start washing and cleaning the whole place again. cheesy

But the thing is I was coming from an outing, I left home around past 05:00am. I never intended to get my meal outside today but I was kinda exhausted by the time I was through with the Task I went to do.

I actually planned to cook when I get home but plans changed.

That why you need to have a basic larder of at least onions, garlic, crayfish, eggs, rice etc. Then wen necessary you buy in perishables like leaves, meat and the rest.

Nothing wrong with buying outside once in a while, though. But not being forced like OP to buy weird-looking pocket-bleeders cos he has nothing at home.

You can't "need to have them at home" for free. We're talking about cumulative cost of buying vs cooking food.

OP just went to a shittyplace....there are better and cheaper outlets that serve better than the eye sore we see on le picture

Yet some people up there said the Food is cheap. While you acknowledge it's is costly.

Omo, see my own from yesterday, e make sense
Chicken ₦1k
Fried yam ₦200
Them add suya pepper join.
I got home, bursted 1 egg (Sunnyside up) ₦150.
Added some moshrooms I had in the fridge, added ketchup.
Total: ₦1350
Nb: I don chop half the yam before snapping as my pikin call me ask watin I de chop, na em make me take Foto.
Bottomline, know where to buy food, infact visiting amala joints makes more sense than going out to buy fried rice.

This looks Nice.
