Before you accuse Igbos of fraud in university admission, check their performances in WAEC, JAMB and JUPEB, you'll find out that they do very well in those exams. I won't rule out the fact that due to many outstandingly good students seeking admission, there may be possibility of some people trying to outsmart others by bribing their ways in, but that doesn't mean that fraud is the basis for Igbos coming top in the above lists.

If you go to North and South West universities, you'll still see people bribing their ways into the university system, so it is not peculiar to the southeast.

More Yoruba students should start applying to Southeast universities! University education is better sought outside ones locality! You'll have broader knowledge compared to your mates who schooled in your state.

You're not a good student of history! Go ask about the kano massacre of Igbos during which several Igbos were killed in Kano by Hausas! Pregnant women had their bellies cut open while both the woman and her fetus were slaughtered eventually. All these happened before Nzeogu coup. Infact, it was the atrocious killing of Igbos and destruction/theft of their properties by Hausas that led Nzeogu and his boys to strike.

What you are stating is a different stats altogether which is claiming that of all those who eventually become doctors more yorubas go on to be professors. But that doesnt mean yorubas have way more doctors. Not every doctor wants to become a professor. Some are happy to maybe start their own clinics with a mere BA or some a Masters degree while others might choose to transcend to other genres of medicine.

Universities mirror the local environment to a large extent. Also, the only SE university recognized outside the zone & where online bragging means nothing is UNN.

Not many brilliant SW kids will leave Unilag, UI, OAU, LASU, FUTA or even Unilorin further up for a school in Enugu. They have too many good choices around them with great alumni network. They would rather opt for one of the private univerdities or even go to Ghana.

Most normal SW people don't drift towards the SE for any reason, why would it start with university choice? The movement trend has always been SE people moving to the SW for greener pastures and progress in life.

That is the factual reality that only a clown would debate..
