To be fair we had one good half against Villa where we came back from 2 goals

We've had a number of good halves. A good half is not a good game

If the project is not clear in the case of manutd, then blame those at the helms, not the manager. The manager does not dictate the project,.

Mind you, ETH also won a trophy in his first season, but you chose not to see any vision
.
Right. Because the way ETH played when he won the trophy is the same way the team is playing now
I ask again. What is ETH's plan? I'm not talking about club structure here

the manager will blame the players for his problems.
The club hierarchy will blame the manager for their problems.
The fans should blame........ Who?
Everyone that needs to be blamed. I'm sure you have seen, heard and read about fans criticizing players, the manager and this structure. But you draw the line at fans criticizing the manager

if the club should sack the manager today, I will not bat an eyelid. That is because I am not not at h tree helms. However, if I was at the helms, I would let them know that sacking managers is not the solution. The manager position should be more stable than the players. This is my opinion, not holy writ.

You know the manager has to earn that stability yeah? There is no club in the world where that is the default behavior. If half of the team is not playing as you want them to or something close, you have already failed as a manager. This does not apply to football alone

unfortunately yes. It's not easy to inherit a dysfunctional team.

this shows that you don't have a functional thought process. You will support whoever is coming, then go on to disprove of such if things go south.

Its so easy to sit on a chair and brandish solutions to problems that you are not adept at solving. The last time we discussed this was when OLe left. Ragnick came and you were all over place with optimism until the reality of the situation dawned and you embarked on a crying session.

TEN HAGG came and your optimism level rose, all for it to go south again when the reality of the situation dawned again.

For how long are you going to toe this line of increased-optimism-turned-crying?

Let me tell you what you should just know. Eras come to an end. And it takes a while for a once glorious club to reach its peak again, especially when competition becomes intensified.

The glory years of Liverpool came and gone. The club is trying to bring it back, not successful yet.

The glory years of arsenal as a contending force (under Arsene) came and gone, the club is still trying to replicate such, and it might come soon.

The glory years of Chelsea came with Abrahamovich/Jose. Right now, the club is a shadow of what it used to be.

The glory years of Manchester United came with fergie and ended with him. We are trying all possibilities to get it back, which would not be easy too.

We are in the glory years of Manchester city/Guardiola. It will not last forever, but it will take its rightful course.

No matter how hard we try, there is a high possibility that arsenal will win the epl before manutd in the event of Mancity's eventual decline.

But you may not accept all these because you have been used to seeing winning trophies as an exclusive right of Manchester United. It is not.

Any world class manager with a sense of pride will run away from managerial role in Manchester United because they know it is a hot seat that can put a blemish on their rich managerial profile. To assemble an unbeatable team ( right manager and right players simultaneously) is not a matter of one or two seasons.

If you are blessed with a manager with a proven record and such is not performing in two seasons, calling for his head will only amount to starting all over again. Reflect back on the early seasons of Jurgen klopp finishing in mid-table. Many more indices can be used to understand the present predicament of the club, not just focusing on the managerial roles alone.
I know you will disagree if I said our home Stadium is Old Trafford because you are wired to always take a different turn from mine for whatever reason that I care less about...

At Manchester United, we do not have the luxury of waiting for decades any longer because we have the finances to get us the best managers and players. I am not against Ten Hag because I hate him but because when I do a comparative analysis of what we spend vis-a-vis our rivals and try to project where we should be, we are far off (It does not even look like we have made a step further). ETH came in and I, like many others were excited based on what he achieved when he was at Ajax not just in the Eredivisie but in the UCL...Has he lived up to expectations? No...We still play like ours is a football club packed with strangers but I should stick with ETH even when I'm certain I'm not God thus can be wrong sometimes...I am happy to disappoint you, I am not that person...

ETH has failed thus far because we can't see imprints of his ideas and style and worst of we are not showing any signs of progress...Show him the door!

My only issue with this is that the players he has brought in for lots of money are barely any better.
He should never have had that power in the first place. Ajax is a far smaller club compared to United but he wasn't even recruiting players there. How's he now doing it at a club like United.

It sounds like I'm making excuses for him but I was saying these things in the beginning when I didn't like him.

If we wanted to sack ETH, we would have made an announcement, I believe. Or these ones are truly after Southgate?

If the team was a functional team, he won't be hired. He was hired to fix it. He started by targeting the biggest ego in the room, heaven didn't fall. He was backed. But apparently he can't handle the sissies and ninnies remaining in the team

Jodera can you verify this?
There was little pattern of play in his 6 months (the season he replaced Emery)
But Omorr, his first full season (the season we finished 8th again) no pattern of his plan showed and this is coming from me who is an ardent supporter and fan of Arteta right from day one. At a point I was so fed up that I don't mind him being sacked. Football was so horrible and results was very very bad. At a point we were actually winning once a month for upto 3 straight months.

The upturn was when he overhauled the team again and with the help of Edu, we bought all these guys we're parading now, that was when we started seeing this football. And to be honest, it wasn't even immediately. It still took till around December (2021) before we could see the good football

I think you are a nice guy, a courteous one but please don't insult our sensibilities here for whatever reason.

Arteta and Arsenal did not have the financial war chest you would normally associate with a club like United so, whilst it took Arteta a couple of seasons/transfer windows to get the right players in, at United, with 2-3 transfer windows, a coach would have spent the equivalent to sort out the playing personnel but what did we get? Please answer...

The man came in and asked to be given full control over who comes and who goes and much to the disappointment of most United fans, he decided to keep a majority of the players that were deemed surplus to the requirements by an experienced head in Rangnick...If Arteta had the finances, he'd never have struggled all those years. The pressure Arteta is beginning to face now is due to the amount of money he has spent over the past 2 seasons without results (Trophies) to show for it.

The thing is Ten Hag fvcked up and I'm not in anyway implying that he should be given time. In fact, If Arteta have been sacked during the time we were playing horrible football and getting bad results, I won't have regretted it cos it was that baaad.

I dunno if Ten Hag is a good coach but one thing I do know is that your squad Is bad and with right recruitment, a good coach will bring this club up. Ten Hag just proved that he's not good at picking players(same possibly as Arteta). As for been a good coach.... Tbh, I don't know cos he's not even covering himself in glory.

Lastly, let me just make it clear. It's not about the finances only, it's about recruitments. Arteta first signings he recommended were luiz, Willian, One defender from Brazil league (I've forgotten his name). If you guys gets your recruitment right(without relying on ETH), maybe, just maybe, you might see a different ETH.

If you hold out that you must be allowed to recruit your team in your own place of work because of your performance in another company/organisation and you're given such privilege then, you deserve to be sacked if you and your team fail to meet set milestones...
