TP-LINK Archer C80

That's what I use. Gives me constant 5ghz on those devices that don't catch starlink router's 5ghz.
I get down speed of 350mbps with it in the North of Nigeria. Last price I saw it at was 60k though I bought mine 43k last year.

Picked up the AX73 (US). Will be using the AX23 as satellite device via Easymesh.
Increased coverage for the entire house.

Good day all.

I'm trying to set up my Starlink but its only giving the ROAM option. RESIDENTIAL is not showing.
Am I missing something?
I got it delivered from Jumia just this evening.

Now that Dollar rate has continued to drop. Does anybody have an inside information as to whether Starlink will reduce our subscription from 38K

It has been 38k since June 7 last year when they started accepting Naira denominated cards. At the time, dollar was around 600 -700. Is it now that dollar is still above 1k that they are going to reduce the subscription fee?

If you are in Lagos, then there's every likelihood that your location has reached capacity, so you won't be able to get on the residential plan. Your only option is Roam (Mobile regional).

Nice choice. I believe this is a WiFi 6 router, but if Starlink is only capable of 5ghz max will this still send up to 6ghz? I'll appreciate your feedback

Yeah this is WiFi 6, not 6E.
And yes, you can get 6ghz on Starlink with a 6E router.

BadMaster suggested the mobile regional plan, did that work? Or something else did?

I'm also in Lagos, and awaiting delivery from Jumia 😬

For some reasons unknown, a starlink I installed at Ikoyi is refusing subscription. We have tried every card possible. The worst is Starlink have stopped Nigerians and Brazilians from having more than one service on one account.

Anyone know how to sort out this subscription issue?
If you're having issues with your Starlink connecting in Ikoyi, then I can help you get it connected, but, you won't be able to use the residential service until they expand, rather you will have to go on the mobile regional plan and you would be fine.

Thanks so much. AliExpress prices are better than the ones here when converted to Naira. I'll appreciate any recommendations between $50. Thanks Baba

This is confusing, anyone know why some people can order from Lagos while others are being told the capacity is temporarily full in Lagos and stuck in pre order stage?

Yes can help you get one if you're interested. A new one that hasn't been registered and it will be connected here in Lagos despite the capacity being full. 08080444617.

If you're having problems with your Starlink such as it not connecting on residential in Lagos, Abuja etc, I can help with that. Also, if you're having unexpected Location issues, or disconnected problems, you can reach out to me on one dial to resolve it. 08080444617.

The Archer C80 I guess. It's Wifi 5 though.
If you can get one from Amazon US, you'll be sure you're getting the US version, not the EU.

Is there any issues with picking EU, as say I'll be buying from AliExpress

EU version is limited to 4 channels on 5Ghz (36-48)
US version goes up to ch 165 and those higher channels are ones samsung galaxy phones can connect to.
Also on 2.4ghz, the EU supports ch 1-13, while US version supports ch 1-11 only
Other than those, both versions are same thing.
Just plenty regulations.

The speed is not enhanced by the router. You'll get the same speed on the 5GHz (most especially during midnight). I have found Starlink to be incredibly fast at late hours, up to 300+Mbps. But during the day it drops to around 100+Mbps (especially for my area where it's at capacity and I'm on roaming)

Yeah just wanted to put it out there to prevent someone from getting the router and then disappointed at their speeds during peak hours.
I have an external router too; but it's mainly to cover dead zones in the upper floor. Most of my devices are connected to the main router.

I have to disagree, my boss.
Range is 3x as far and speeds are significantly higher compared when connected to the TP Link Archer AX23 or before bypassing Starlink.
I have to believe that the AX73 is taking full advantage of Starlink's capabilities.

Since you are in Enugu the speed is bound to be higher than Lagos that is already crowded
