All the food baskets state are under attack: Benue, Niger and Bornu.

obiekunie01:
they should stop using our reserve to stabilizer Naira.

this problem can be solved within 2 years if we pay attention to agriculture.

The government should disburse grants to farmers nationwide and setup committee to monitor the grant beneficiaries.

by next harvest, food will be plentiful and their will be food surplus.

LandMann:

Tinubu's government and Cardoso are afraid of northerners who control 99.999% of BDC operations.

Selling to them at 1021 is some sort of bribery/subsidy to some powerful northern people to keep them from revolting against Tinubu government. Divide and conquer strategy.

Now ask yourself, why government will choose to subsidise dollars for some northerners while preventing 100% of southerners to legally access dollars for their needs through ATM debit cards to make purchases online without going through middle man BDC operators who will sell it at a higher price to the common man

This is the same illegal arbitrage opportunity the CBN governor and Tinubu is creating but they'll pay some foolish people 25k monthly to keep pushing out propaganda that crypto is that Binance is the problem of the naira.

Binance has shut down. They'll soon latch onto another victim to blame for their corrupt and incompetent policies

You clowns will always find ways to criticize the government. Even with biased and unproven narratives.

It's well with the naira.

You are talking about Odumeje who we all know to be an illiterate noisemaker...

What about Mr. Know-it-All, Reno Omokri who claimed the Naira massively appreciated because he convinced most Nigerians to shun foreign products and solely patronize locally made ones?!!

Is this not how volatile cryptocurrency is? How can you turn your main currency into cryptocurrency?

How can anyone do business with such an unstable currency?

That's why as a business man when you peg your goods at a certain amount

Don't heed to any advice of bringing it down until the exchange is stable. If you carry your church mind and go ahead and reduce the price...then expect to be in the village soon grin grin

Good news. Let them keep defending naira with our foreign reserve until the money finishes. They'll know why China devalued their local currency cuz they need to grow their nation foreig reserve(dollar). Prices of goods are growing everyday yet dollar rides everyday. Trial and fail government.

What benefits is the reserve o? Dont Nigeria generate forex again from crude oil sales?

That's the problem, I personally don't think the depletion of our reserves will cause the naira value to drop. We sell crude oil and place the monies back into the reserve so the reserve should appreciate.

it did in a previous report but not factually though it was more like an opinion from them on the likely cause of our reserve depletion.

Why are you folks like this? What is good about naira depreciating? That yous see citizens mocking the government doesn't mean they are happy it means they aren't happy with what the government is doing unless you are just a sycophant who only praise the government because of the selfish benefit they stand to gain. Don't know when you all can't see this, most of these guys who taunt government for their bad policies are actually the patriots who want Nigeria better.

They blame binace, bet9ja and the aboki next street for damaging Nigeria as if those people only started operation few weeks ago just to tarnish the already battered Tinubu's image while they pray for Tinubu,Akpabio and Gandollar to succeed.
Timbom Timbom government. The only thing They are good in is stealing carelessly.
Koni da fun supporters of this evil government.

Any dollar intervention or monetary policy from the CBN that does not make this current crop of politicians in power to fight or oppose the CBN is most likely not effective....

Some people think the problem of dollar is because of Binance and BDC's, those are secondary issues, the politicians are the biggest spoilers of the naira, if a single governor is using almost 1 million dollars to pay for only one of children's school fees, then imagine other expenses being run from his type right from the presidency down to councilors...

These guys are the biggest moppers of dollars in Nigeria and all because corruption that Tinubu is not ready to fight because he is also involved....

In thesame sentence you are accusing everyone. Cuz top politicians across the board constitute less than 2% of the populations but then we have ordinary citizens who are rich business men who also send their children over there for schooling or ordinary citizen travelling out with lot of resources while blaming nigeria as the problem. At what point do we realize that this is a collective effort. While we blame politicians we do similar at our level. At the first site of money, The average Nigeria. Is thinking of sending his child abroad for schooling or traveling there himself.

This they will not do. Abi you want their surreptitious Jihad to stop? And, do you really think APC wishes to solve Nigeria's problems? I put it to you that it's not their mission. Can't you see the quality of candidates they put out for the position of president? Buhari, Tinubu...
Everyone knows that if the Fulani terrorists attacking farmers and farms are dealt with the economy will improve immediately. But how do you expect the leaders to stop themselves? Not possible.
