When you go through most pet websites and watch some animal videos you discover they talk about this breed of dogs as killer dog i:e the rottweiler and the pitbull.

I got a gist that some of the western countries have stared making the bans of the two particular breed.

From my own experience i believe the Pitbull is More dangerous cos of its stubbornness but think the Rottweilers are most Deadly and calm for me.

I think pitbulls are very violent. they are the ones that can eat a whole human alive. they are horrible.Even those that own pitbulls say that you must feed them otherwise....................................They are also very strong and hard to overcome.

Let us be honest. A dog is as dangerous as you make him. Do you know that in the USA the dog that bites people most is the Poodle. But because it is a small dog it does not do much damage and everyone forgets about it. If a Rottweiler (weighing about 55kg) or a powerful Pittbull attacks someone just ONCE, you will have a lot of damage. These dogs are both potential killers and should not be owned by amateurs or people who want a mean and vicious dog, because if you train such a dog to be vicious . . you might as well have a loaded gun!

Yeah, both dogs are dangerous. The pitbull is butt ugly too. I'll never own a pitbull for that reason.

u people that are saying pitt are more dangerous dont know shit, i have a pitt, believe me he is harmless, the only reason people think pitts are dangerous is becos people breed them for fighting, however, rottweillers are bigger and badder, they are watch dogs while pitts can be a house pet. there is no way u can have a rottweiller in ur house unless its still a puppy, but my pitt sleeps with me in my bed every night

The two dogs are both dangerous but a pitbull is just too stubborn - acrazy dog I would say. I own a Rottweiler coz I am in love with the Rott and I can manage it better than a pittbull. Many factors have to be taken into consideration before getting any of these dangerous dogs. You have to try as much as possible to socialise them. I would advise any first-time owners never to pick a dangerous dog. You have to be a strong-will person to be able to manage them otherwise you would end up a casuality. One bachelor in Port Harcourt paid with his life when he had to travel out of his location on official business with the plan of coming back the following morning. He ended up staying for 3 days and none of his friends had the guts to go and feed his rottweiler. By the time he came back, the dog went for him. When the neighbours called the police, the guy was dead. They had to shoot the dog. But whose fault was it?

Please don't misinform people. I believe when we talk about any breed of dog, we refer to the pure breeds. A pure breed pitbull is a very stubborn and aggressive dog. All it wanna do is fight and bite. A friend of mine has one, 2 rottweilers and a mastiff. Out of all of them, the pitbull is the most difficult to manage. I would also advise that you go read stories on the net from different dog owners and you will get more info about pitbulls.
No offence meant, did you get yours from any registered kennel? From what I can see from your dog's picture, it looks like a cross-breed to me.

Rotweilers r relatively managable ( especially without children in the house) . The pitbull on the other hand is "20kg dynamite in a 5kg box" (extremely dangerous) i wouldnt buy one

In my opinion the sale of both should be restricted, I can't understand why people feel it nescercery to own a dog that can rip people's faces to shreds? (how often or not does the dog attack family members)

Ok, we've seen the picture of the pittbull so we know what it looks like. What about the Rott? No one has a picture of it? Anyway, my MD has a pittbull, the dog is ugly full time, short and vicious. It gave a goat with four legs three legs after it dealt with it. So what're we saying.

The pit bull has the potential to do more damage during the commission of a bite than a rottweiler. The pitbull's jaws close at 2000 pounds per square inch. However, at least in america, rottweilers are the #1 biter. (I work with them for a living so these facts are near and dear to my heart.) Pitbulls were bred for fighting so they take that type of training quickly but a well-trained, well-socialised pitbull won't be "set at anything" because he won't understand what it means. This misconception that the breed is violent is what has caused them such stigma. They are aggressive because ppl train them to be that way! Btw, I had a beautiful blue pit (*Ulysses) who lived in the house. Currently I have a 150lb. male rottie (Kilo) who is a housepet so they CAN live indoors.

Firstly there isn't anything like most dangerous dogs as its the owner that defines his dog. I've searched the internet and found nothing saying top most dangerous dog rating/chart/list. But i have a Guiness world record book which had the rott as having the most powerful bite from a dog.

Thanks for taking the words out of my mouth Maxflame. There is no such thing as a dangerous dog. You have irresponsible owners. The way you have irresponsible parents. I owned a rottweiler and was brought up with children about the house. The only time there was biting was when my daughter age 3 was upset and bit the dog! Notice the so called dangerous dogs are named tyson, psycho, bruno or some other stupid name. Bring up any dog as a pet, it remains a pet, bring it up as an attack dog, that is what you get

OK BLUENUBIAN u think u can't keep rotties in a house well ur crazy u don't know nothing bout them so i'd advise u to not blab on bout pitt bulls.Rotties r are as harmless as you say pitt bulls are -you can't know nothing bout a dog if u don't read millions of book's bout them or if u've had 1 before.Every dog can be dangerous it's just a matter of how you raise it .I know how you feel when people say things that u know aren't true that's how i feel!
