I got my smile 4g mifi with 5gig data then I shared wifi with friends in less than 2 weeks it was gone.

I got the 9k for 10gig data plan changed my password used it only on my iPhone all for few hours didn't download any app or music. Only nairaland and instagram only to check my data and 2gig is gone in 5 hours?

I don't understand how their data depletes anyone here facing the same?

monitor your data ... simple

sometimes your system myt be updating on the background and you wouldnt know. if you share with multiple system all the systems could be updating at the same time. especially with a fast 4g network you expect the updating to be fast ..

oga me I no don port to mtn nite plan I dey manage that one I hardly stay in Nigeria am always travelling that one dey manageable if you aren't a heavy user.

Better go and get spectranet sharp, sharp. It use to be the same ordeal with spectranet, until recently they changed. All networks have a way of short changing their customers,at least the efficiency is there to make up the short changing.

Once you get to their retail store they would show you a map of their coverage area so pray your area is covered.

It is extremely fast with very little down time speed up to 20mbps sometimes.

Expect to pay very much for data you would be finishing 10 gig in less than 2 weeks. Stay of YouTube and instagram or websites with tons on graphics.

Their customer care is the bomb you email and they call you back.

Speed has always been awesome. Ever since i got hooked to this network three years ago, i 've never looked back. Downtime is absolutely minimal. It is my benchmark for speed. Coverage is as far as akute, ajah, agbara etc.

Very very annoying I went to their Facebook page to vent and the videos started to auto play so I ran for my data. They had better review the price swift is giving 14gig for 7k

Am using franklin modem of smile 4g lte, the speed will make you miscalculate. I updated my norton antivirus under 3 minutes of 248MB. It was like a dream, i started it, then went to get water and i came back my norton was updated. My friend finished his 5gig under 4 days. But mine still running for 3 weeks now.

House: you can make the modem not to show your ssid and password from the modem if you go to setting and look for gui and disable it.

I guess data should finish quick when you move at close to 20mb / sec
Because surfing will look like a breeze and you enjoy it for an hrs. ..
And then you know what's up

Smile 4G lite is a scam. I got the device and recharged for 30GB for my office. In just two days my data cap was exhausted. Same 30GB will use initially with other network. Am so disappointed with Smile.

The higher your bandwidth, the higher your data depletion rate especially when you decide to stream videos.

To salvage this, simply log into your smile user portal and click manage data. I have mine set at max 2mbps connection to conserve my precious bandwidth

I reduced my Data speed to 2mbps and YES the data depletion reduced 2 days and I haven't used up to 500MB thats a miracle thanks Jmaine!
