“Coach Amodu will take over of the team as interim coach, to be assisted by Salisu Yusuf (El Kanemi Warriors) and Gbenga Ogunbote (Sharks FC) while former Green Eagles goalkeeper, Alloy Agu will be the goalkeeper trainer,” the NFF official divulge.

What is this nonsense ! angry Are we reflecting federal character here or are we appointing on merit based on quality ? Why remove Keshi NOW. This is just too Ediotic. I knew this 'Picnic' of a man will ruin Nigerian football.

How on earth did they decide Amodu will do better than Keshi. I'm very sure this decision was based on saving money for them to chop. Amodu will do the job for N250k a month. If you must sack Keshi, then appoint someone that will carry the current team along. Someone that can blend with the current players. I forsee what happened between French players and their coach in the South Africa world cup happening with Amodu as coach. Sacking Keshi now does not make sense.

I knew it, any body that still think coaches are the problem of nigerian football. May be high on something
NFF has been getting it wrong over and over again, keshi is a great coach,he is by million times better this so called amodu
Anyway let's just kiss this qualifier farewell because its not going to be easy on this amodu

For those shouting qualified for two wc,l ask how many games did he play for those qualifiers compare to two games left under a couple of weeks
Smh for nff

Back to square zero. I am never a fan of hiring and firing of coaches every here and then. In 2011 October precisely, i kicked against the sacking of Samson Siasia but Nigerians insisted that he must go, cursing and calling him all manners of names; but i stood by him until Keshi came on board to change the Fortune of the team.
Today, the same people calling Siasia names are the people insulting the Big Boss. Some people even go as far as cursing his family!.....
I am happy today that I still stood by Keshi despite all the cricism. I am his fan and I will continue to be his fan until the next coach achieved beyond what Keshi did. For now i will hang my boots and watch as the drama unfolds.
Nothing will happen. undecided

Nice...this"ll be the typical Amodu situation: We"ll definitely win our next games and qualify, then a foreign coach will take us to Maroc 2015.

Na bro,When Keshi won d Afcon,it wasn't tactics go download and watch the games. The players needed the win,we had no tactics ,but sheer individual brilliance from mostly Moses,Ideye and Mba. Amodu might not have won anything ,but check the games he has handled for us.We always play our wing games with some solid defensive midfield plays ,covering our centre backs. And pls go back to the 2002 world cup qualifiers,Amodu turned Aiyegbeni to a monster striker, even though he never made it to the world cup ,due to politics. We always play very well under Amodu.
what's the usefulness of playing well and not winning anything? pls come back and say all this when this your amodu win the nations cup with this your Spain like football you are talking of. as for now, keshi is better than amodu.

Nigeria always repeating same mistake! just like in our national politics, Naigerians collectively rejected OBJ 3rd term agenda only to be given Yaradua. after seeing Yaradua display "GO SLOW" mentality they started to scream Change! change! change! only to get GEJ now some are calling for another change. dont be suprised if another OTONDO is foistered on the nation. Of all the options that NFF has in Oliseh, Siasia non appealed to them except a dead wood in the person of Shuaibu(sound like Mr IBU) well i wish them gudlock!

Finally....but why Amodu? NFF are just clueless. I won't even think twice to hire that DR congo coach Cloude le Roy.

At the stadium yesterday , fans were just busy booing d 'big boss' n chanting ' Keshi must go'. Despite having a feeling that we would win d match, i kinda knew keshi would be relieved of his temporary assignment, with his contract having expired since july this year. For the first time in a long time, i saw the Super Eagles play for their manager.... and they won, convincingly too, but as d saying goes, it's a little too late. Perhaps, if the players had given such five-star performance like we saw yesterday, against Congo n South-Africa, then maybe, just maybe, Keshi's contract might have been renewed. Anyways he has done well for the National team n i wish him nothing else but success in his future endeavors.

Hmmmmm, but why shuaibu amodu, isn't he the one who couldn't get eagles to qualify for world cup finals, one time like that? How they forget so easily!
Go and check his records well, he delivered qualification tickets to Nigeria when we found ourselves in qualification mess enroute 2002 and 2010 fifa world cup. And he has never failed at any time to qualified us for Afcon when in charge.

Keshi will take over another African country in d nearest future. Bring same team and defeat our sorry ass Super chicken and corrupt ridden NFF

Gullible Nigerians who don't even know what they want will start screaming " Bring back Keshi"
NFF will still sack 20more coaches and eventually sack themselves too grin

many nigerians r INGRATES. Is dis not d same keshi who aided us to win last year africa nations cup? Is he nt d same person who took us to world cup? Nw, things seem nt to be going well for him, u people began to detest him, shouting he should be replaced. Na wah oh.
Truly, owo epo laraye bani la, won n ki bani la teje.
So until we are kicked out of afcon 2015?

If u watch keshi's last 4 games, u will notice he lack techniqcal knowlegde, no tactic, cluless, we played as if we are toothless.

Last 12 games, 5 lost 5 draws and 2 lucky win. We were lucky 2 beat bosnia

We lost nt because congo and sudan are better dan Nigeria, but we lost those matches because we are extremely poor.

Keshi always thinks he as no achelles heel, his ego as went in2 his brain.

Morover NFF, as agreed 2 sponsor is learning, so he can comeback and coach Nigeria in d nxt 4 years.
