what is the essence of CRK and IRK in schools then ? And if some students have the right to expose their hair and body why won't some other stundents have the right to cover theirs ?

I think both subjects should be removed from our public schools.

What the Judge is saying is that Nigeria a secular state and that government must maintain neutrality at all times.
Those school are MIXED Religious and gender schools, and uniformity is need.

If Muslims insist on hijab, school uniform should be ban.
Sir, Imagine there is IRK/CRK as a subject with a very wide curriculum in our schools and there is no way Hijab wouldn't be taught as a model of dressing in Islamic Religion Knowledge(IRK) , then how disheartening would it be for a student to discover she's been barred to dress in compliance with her faith which doesn't constitute disturbances to anyone !!

This is in total contravention to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which allowed for freedom of Religion !!

This student/pupil are being denied their constitutional right in dressing to fulfil their religious right ....... (This doesn't constitute moral/ethical disturbances to anyone) !!

Lagos state will lose this one !!

Please let keep sentiment aside is only in Africa that student go to school in hijab. Visit all the strong Islamic countries you dn't see student in hijab all they do is put on a decent clothing and behave well. For instance in Saudi Arabia they don't do all this just put on an abaya (long gown) with no or little shape as long as one look decent without any part of the body expose to the view of other and you cover your hair only if you wish or by the wish of your husband. This is where Islam started and they behave a kind of western. The worst is the yoruba's that a real housa or fulani man does not see them as real Muslims, that is why a yoruba cannot lead a prayer in a mosque with housa or fulani present only in abuja a no mans land. Sorry if I offend anyone with my words forgive me because all I have written is out of experienced. PEACE
U know about Mosques so well. Have u ever been in one. Same reason a Yoruba man won't be allowed to pray for them in the North, same reason the Hausa man won't be allowed to pray in the south

1. We are in a country dat supposely supports freedom of religion. D muslim here is only saying; Look, my religion says I should cover my hair ( use the Hijab once I attain puberty) just allow me to practice my religion since my country is not against freedom of religion.

2. D muslims here ain't saying everybody (Christians & idol worshippers inclusive) must use the Hijab

3. Head-covering does not in anyway go against any religion here (Nigeria). Infact, if u know ur Bible very well, the word "Veil" shouldn't be a strange thing to you. #AcientChristianity... Peace unto you bro.

Christianity is a relationship with God based on God's own work.

Islam and Christianity are philosophically polar opposites.

Islam limits self determination by robbing an individual of personal freedom before God judging unto death those individuals who disagree with its tenets and claims. Christianity thrives when positive volition toward Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is practiced freely before God and not because of an ever present sword of retribution.
It is always a problem when an Arsenal fan is discussing the culture of Chelsea FC
Objectivity will be the first casualty
You, as a Christian, believe that you are upon the truth and Islam is a lie
As a Muslim, I see Christian as a bundle of contradictions which people have not been able to practice
Were I to believe otherwise, I would be a Christian

what are the elements of personal freedom seized by Islam?
Christians have put more people to death in a bid to attain religious purity than any other religion
You guys have taken more lives and property in order to bring people "close to God" than any other mindless religious villains can accomplish
But you are still waxing poetic because you have always strategically positioned yourself to rewrite history

gratiaeo:

The righteousness of the Muslim is an earned badge of merit and based on human works. The merit lies in the individual. Christianity is a Grace system whereby man enjoys a relationship with God based on the efficacious work of Our Lord. The merit lies in the integrity of God. Righeousness is a gift of faith, and not an earned merit badge, imputed to the believer when positive volition is expressed toward the One and Only Son, a standing not earned or deserved but a testament to the Love of God for all men.

You can preach Christian theology
But please don't present yourself as an authority on Islam
The distorted tales you are told in the church cannot stand up here
Muslims worship Allah in hope of mercy and fear of punishment
But Muslims are assured of forgiveness of ALL sins (Quran 39:53) as long as they sincerely repent and restore what they have taken unjustly from others

gratiaeo:
Islam mandates murderous action and barbaric practices against non-believers.

Thous shall not suffer a witch to live!

gratiaeo:
Christians pray for the salvation of all men.
Fire! Fire!! Fire!!!
God, you the one with the robe of fire, destroy my enemies
Let them perish!
I curse and bind them in the name of the Holy Ghost

gratiaeo:
Islam practices justified hate. Christianity stand in awe at Love of God.

That is why we never object to what you guys want. And that is what you call hate
and your negativism to our aspirations has become a reflex action. And Sir, that to you, is love
Oh I forgot!
Thou Shall not judge

Islam is directed by arrogant self righteous men who ordain the sexual use of little unbelieving girls and comely women while sending the unbelieving young boys and men to slaughter. Christians abhor and reject slavery.

gratiaeo:

True for both faiths is a final reckoning before the Judgement Seat of God.
Islam is not content to allow God to judge, and instead will rape a virgin girl in hopes of making her, according to their judgement, unacceptable to God. What sort of vile insanity is this? Christians are content that God is the perfect judge where man is not.
And in your
gratiaeo:
awe at Love of God.
, you can espouse this wicked fiction!
from the inveterate hated that dwells in the bottom of your heart!!
And you dare profess a reckoning before God
You are not content!!!
I sense that you would like to influence the judgement of God right from here and make that caricature of a divine process eternal!
Sir, you have tried to usurp God's right to judge
And polluted that privilege, should it be granted to you, with a deep seated animosity that has overpowered your congenital human attribute of fairness

gratiaeo:

The comparisons as opposites go on and on.
We have seen a classic demonstration of the imaginative capacity of the human mind
to concoct anything to serve a predetermined end

gratiaeo:

Islam and Christianity are polar opposites and one of them is a lie. They do not serve the same God. As polar opposites one is the work of satan, the other the handiwork of God.
I believe that Allah forgives ALL sins to the sincerely repentant
I don't want to worship any being that imposes murder of an innocent person as a condition for setting another innocent free

See, my brother, Nigeria is not an Islamic State. Yes, wearing a hijab, even a niqab, is mandatory in Islam. However, student dressing in approved uniforms has never affected their academic performance in school. Other muslim women who finished from federal unity schools and state schools wore the approved uniforms and many of them are now Professors, Lawyers, Lecturers, Engineers, Doctors and equally still devout muslimas. Why is wearing the hijab in public schools suddenly a big deal?

Well, what Islam requires concerns only islam and her followers. If you come to a govt school that has a dress code, U obey the dress code. The fact that some christian women believe it's sin to wear trousers does not stop them from wearing them in NYSC orientation camp. You either follow the dress code or get the hell out

I believe that it is not required outside church
A lot of guys who conduct jumat service go to work nearly, wear the imam attire before leading the prayer and remove that dress after and go back to work
Islam requires that women cover their body outside the home - everyday of the week and every hour
