I am still praying for the forgiveness of my own sins

Right. Nigeria is not an Islamic state but d last time I check, dere is still freedom of Religion in Nigeria.
Students dressing in approved uniform has never affected dia academic performance.. Dis is also ryt.. Using the Hijab will neither affect dia academic perfomance nor will it go obstruct non-muslims...
So y not let dem practice dia religion since its not against d country's constitution and no-one is losing here. Its a win-win situation.

Public schools have a general uniform. If you think it is indecent for your wards, please move them to missionary schools.

I am sure that if one of your children's classmate wore ifa's beads or attire to school, you will not be comfortable.

You and he cannot explain Islam to me
We spend time learning this stuff
and Non-muslims will just throw random stuff at me and "explain" Islam to me!!!
I went to a public secondary school where I had to learn CRK
But I still don't debate christian theology with Christians

I am not copying Arabs. I am practising Islam
I have confronted an Arab before on Islamic matters
As an aside if you hate African Muslims, why should I not love and copy Arabs?
Anyway the matter of Hijab is explained in the hadeeth of Aisha (RA)

The ban on hijab. If there is freedom of religion in Nigeria, what is the rationale behind banning the hijab? Are we going back to the days when muslims could not attend school unless they changed their names? Or is this the beginning of extending the ban to higher institutions? Whoever thought that it was okay to trample on people’s freedom has led this current administration quite astray. This is really backward and emotional thinking.

I am amazed that some people here are happy and rejoicing about this. No wonder Jesus said in the Bible of the people he would siown on the day of judgement.

Why do people tell me what I would do in certain circumstances
As for Ifa beads, it is not comparable to Hijab
A Christians seamstress can sew the Hijab if she is open minded enoough
Or you can buy Hijab from a Christian trader who sees it as a business
I am not sure that the Ifa people would give it to a Christian seamstress to sow because they are likely to make those incantations while they are sewing the beads
BTW You are likely to have encountered people wearing Hijab before - commercial vehicles, hospitals etc
Have you seen people with Ifa attire in those places
Meaning - Hijab is to be worn at all times and Ifa dress is for special occasions esp when they want to "fight" people, at least from what I see in home videos

To make matters worse you did not read what I responded to
So if somebody says Hijab is dwelling in the past, it is only dwelling in the past if it is worn in the school
But it is not dwelling in the past if it is worn up to the school gate and removed at that point?
And the nun attire will also be dwelling in the past if it is worn to school

These arguments lead you to wonder where Nigerian Christians have put the Bible
Everyday they tell me Christianity means love but when they act, I ask myself is this what they are actually calling me to?
I have my personal standard of tolerance
Sadly Christianity as practised in Nigeria does not measure up to it
