So bsc guarantees money in your pocket abi?ote!

No course does that for you..it's you and you only that can bring the best out of wateva u were given...in other words,a course doesn't define your future...and y don't you try and come out with a first class b4 complaining where to work? Besides this is ur just your first degree

In other news, some people are praying to be given that primary education..so be grateful

And did I even read the part of becoming just a teacher? So teachers are not humans abi?abi teaching is not a profession?well..I wldn't blame you, rather our government that havn't realized teachers should be among the highest earners in this country...do I need to school you on the value and importance+prestige of their job?....well...I wldn't be able to write this and u wldn't be able to read it!

To me it is better than staying a year athome especially when you have nothing productive doing. You take the course and resit for jamb.
The good thing is you have nothing to lose if you accept it.

Do not just accept d course because u want to be a graduate......gone re d days u go to d university just to get a certificate.

Think about what profession u'll like to practice in future, if primary education is not anyway related, pls throw their admission letter in their face.....u might not get d course u want to study but what u opt for must be related to your passion...so that u can switch easily at say Msc level.

I work in a federal univ in d east so I can guide u on nxt year's admission into my school....dis year is closed......best wishes

I mean no offence but your reasoning is lopsided. So because some people are praying to be given primary education he should accept it even when he has absolutely no passion for the course.
He is a science student and he was given primary education, how do they relate?
Its like saying if I want to be an Engineer and I am given Councillor Education I should abandon engineering and do it because some people are praying for admission to study councillor education.
Again not everyone knows how to teach or wants to be a teacher and that is not necessarily a slight on teachers. There are many brilliant people who find it very hard to teach. Not everyone is cut out to be a teacher.

Op, the best work you can do is one where the work is like your hobby. Something you that you have innate joy doing. If you have no interest whatsoever in primary education, don't force yourself to do it and don't abandon your dream course.

Alternatively, If money is not a problem, then you can just accept the course and do it for a year while you process admission next year for your preferred course or at least something close to it.
Above all, pray for divine guidance. Good luck

I hope lopsided is not an abuse sha?ehn...lol...I didn't read the passion part in his post sha..I focused more on the "what job is there for me"?and"would I now be an ordinary teacher" part...and I actually commented on the already problem we have in Nigeria which is when last did a nigerian student study the course of his choice?I was just surprised he was just surprised we have stupid courses in our universities....

On whether he should accept the course or not....no he shouldn't cus I wldn't.....but then I don't know how badly he needs admission....

Re: Why Do Nigerian Universities Have Horrible Courses? by Nobody: 4:55pm On Oct 30, 2014
Compared to foreign universities, i will say nigeria has better choice of courses.
You can study wine, flowers even beyonce sef.

I think nigerian university courses are good and relevant to the nigerian society.
