In this new month of November, “The Lord will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed Joel 2:25-27”. And may the grace of the good Lord open every locked door for us in this month. I can see everything turning around for our good.

Happy New Month. Enjoy your weekend everybody!

I concur. The bearish trend on the NSE doesn't seem like it will abate soon, not withstanding the brief respite we observed in the week that ended on the 24th of Oct. The bourse shed 140 billion yesterday alone, and in the month of October (btw 26th of September and yesterday) the market capitalization of the NSE shed 1 trillion naira from N13.478 trillion to N12.437 trillion. I am eagerly waiting for the Domestic and FPI Report for Sept. With almost all stocks on offer yesterday, despite impressive albeit unaudited results, I personally activated a few stop losses this week. While I made a grand entrance into Oxygen yesterday. I am grateful to FCMB and their market makers sha.

Abeg is there something about NASCON I don't know about?
Aside of the lacklustre Q3 result, some reports were on SMN about their inability to fund the payment of their 2013 dividend in full.

The NSE ASI currently stands at 37550.24.During the major sell off in march 2014 by FPIs due to QE tapering, the NSE ASI dipped to 37274.04.

If the ASI drops further to 37,000,either of two things could happen; attractive dividend yields might awaken investors appetite and drive the index a bit higher or the fear of the unknown might drag the index further down the hill.

If the funding sources includes the current year profit, it wont be funny as all those expecting dividend yield for all the mopping up and tranche buying they have done are on a long thing.

@myjoy08: Nna ehn grin Your prayers provide the needed effect in these "critical times hard to deal with". Your exertions and almost unshakable belief that the market would soar around 3rd-4th week of August remains clear in my mind. grin grin

The NSE may revise park price to NGN 0.001 if they wish to; FPI may grind to an all-time low; GTB, NESTLE, and DangCEM may park if they also wish to...as long as Nigeria is still alive and the listed coys haven't closed shop, there will still be money to make.

As far as words of "encouragement" continue to spill, there'll be nothing wrong with the fact that what's going on here is a continuous adjustment of past predictions to fit the jagged edges of market realities.

I just dey laff. Lemme also predict something:

The sun will rise tomorrow
