do you know what Lingua franca is?

No, I don't

but wikipedia says Lingua franca also called a bridge language, trade language, or vehicular language, is a language systematically used to make communication possible between persons not sharing a native language, in particular when it is a third language, distinct from both native languages.

Seconded. This is a case of Make believe.
They would do anything to do the bidding of the their pay Master. What is the difference now between the SUG and the Nairaland moderate rotCompromised set of people who have no integrity and core values. They ve been trying to so hard to brute force us into believing he was not booed. If the students hadn't done what they did yesterday it means they approve the way the PDP led govt had been ruling us. Nairaland only bring to front page articles which sing praises of gej to high heaven. OK, we ve heard. He was not booed. Can we have a better front page topic now other than this OAU vs gej ish.
A thread with the video evidence of how he was booed is even languishing in the backstage of the politics board yet the mods have turned a blind eye to it cos it doesn't sit well with their operational policy of gagging the opposition on this forum. What a shame.

Excuse me sir!

That you didn't take the picture of when GEJ's convoy was thrown sachet water doesn't mean it didn't happen.

You can only make us believe you by posting a comprehensive video which covered the WHOLE event

I think I understand why people are not posting videos , I am seeing so many handheld devices , I talked to someone he said people are not posting videos because they are scared of the presidential Oppressors in Uniform , some students will identify and even track down / locate others if/when they get paid , you can't tell me that one single video was not shot , they are merely being cautious especially with so many faces caught red handed , I have a copy but I am not uploading kee yourself grin

Whether the students of OAU, majority of whom are westerners, booed Jonathan or not, the fact remains that the WEST cannot get another shot at the presidency(whether as president or vice) barely 5 or so years after OBJ left there. Nigeria is turn by turn. This is S/S turn and nothing, i repeat, nothing can stop us from completing our turn. If BH like let them kill all of their people, we must complete our turn.

you are kidding me, are u truly a student of great ife?? Impossible with this your grammar... Haba why are you disgracing us na... angry

why trying to bully the guy,this is not a professional forum where English is of importance once you get the import of the message forget the grammar.

It is a common trend in a social media like this for post to be made in slangs and abbreviated text form and besides the androids phone devices do play a smart one on us if you are not observant your rightly typed words are replaced. so I don't see the cry about grammar here, its common among younger folks of university age to use slangs and abbreviated text as a means of expression which I as an adult have to come to terms with while chatting with this age group on social online platforms.
I have come to learn this:
sup = what's up
rep = represents
and many of such short form of expressions so why trying to hammer the guy as disgrace to Oau? take the message and leave the grammar

I was told by clean source that one student threw some at him as it is accounted for by all the students I left there.

I really hope u r not a student. Its with so much difficulty that I made out some of the things u typed. Our educational system is really in shambles.

With the disturbance by the lies being spread, i had to write this. Very few people knew when President Jonathan entered oduduwa hall due to the smartness of those security guys who diverted our attention to the landing helicopters at the sports complex(4 in all), one of which we thought Jonathan would come out from. Meanwhile his convoy had already come in through road 7.With this, people decided to wait till the meeting was over, telling the soldiers that they must see their president.

Meanwhile, there was a peaceful demonstration. However, it was by the Educational Rights Campaign and not the students' union and it bothered on the below-par educational condition in Nigeria. They only sang and shouted throughout.Nobody threw stones, stick or pure water satchets! ERC was joined by few other students but you can categorically see for yourselves in the pics below that most people including students, and people from town only did everything in their power to see their President.

President Jonathan tried to address us but the noise and rushing was just too much to the extent that some guyz fell and the soldiers at one point flared up. The S.U president was able to meet with Mr President, chatted for few minutes and gave him a protest letter, a copy of which is below. After this, he waved to us, got into his vehicle which conveyed him to sports complex. Three of the helicopters took off about 15 minutes before dt which d President got into took off.
Bros,u dey lie ooooo....i was in the library when i was hearing the students shouting "ole ole"(meaning thief, thief) and singing various aluta songs. in fact,i left the library to join and behold i saw myself in some of the pictures trending about the issue. the truth is,we booed Jonathan. He should have been told that OAU is the last place where a failed government will be celebrated.
Obasanjo and Ribadu has experience such,so bro Jona is not a super human that can turn great ife students to coward.

It's proofread not price read bro

the priceread error is inadvertent and its android touch pad error. unless you are smarter the device will mess you up. At times I quickly modify my post after reading over and I notice such error.

this does not suggest I don't pass olevel English or use of English in the university.

oops! i can clearly see the reason why we need revolution in this country. if a student of oau can express himself with these kind of english (giramma), all hope is lost.
You meant well but unfortunately, ur expression in english betrayed you. little wondered how people like you got an addmission if not because of a failed system. u successfully murdered english in all ur sentences, dere is god oooooooooo.
well to the jonathanians, am speechless because that clueless fool said he can only write booklet on achievements in a region that hosts commercial activities of d nation in six years and am sure those achievements are nothing but mere promises.

Hassan Taiwo Soweto writes on FB

Today, i did my part, i made my stand. Happy joining OAU students to show President Jonathan his government and poverty-inducing capitalist policies are not welcomed. He expected a rousing welcome, instead he was confornted with a protest. Fayose got perhaps the biggest embarrassment of his life today. He walked confidently to Ife students expecting to be applauded. I can't yet forget the look of shock on his face as shout of Ole! Ole ! (Thief! Thief!) rented the air. Hastily his security details whisked him away. President Jonathan's convoy was delayed as students sat on the road chanting slogans. Clumsily one by one, the royal fathers made their way out not sure who next would be greeted with shout of "thief!" Those to be pitied (not sure if they even deserve it though) were the hundreds of PDP supporters who had thronged the campus with different banners to welcome Jonathan. They looked dejected, their banners hanging around them. How could they start dancing as they planned with the hundreds of students chanting solidarity songs just beside them? At the end, as the helicopters lifted from the ground, i didn't see a single person waving the President goodbye. It was like good riddance. If my guess is right, someone might soon be fired for fixing OAU on the President's itinery Despite attempts by a wing of the union leadership to sell-out, great Ife students have demonstrated how oppressors and exploiters should be treated. I would do it again anytime, any day. Doing this isn't because we support the APC. Years ago, i carried placards to give Tinubu the same welcome i joined others to give Jonathan today in the same University and at the same Oduduwa hall. I would do it again today just as my organisation, the Education Rights Campaign (ERC), played leading roles in the struggle to defeat the APC attemps to deny the downtrodden public education in LASU. PDP and APC supports the same ruinous capitalist philosophy that has created the embarrassing inequality in Nigeria despite massive oil wealth. Only the building of an alternative political party to fight to end capitalism and enthrone socialism can ensure our problems begin to have genuine solutions. To all those with whom we made the stand against president Jonathan today, Solidarity!

God bless you and continue to give you strength to do more........I'm identified with NADECO, NYC, NAUG and Nigerian students with rigorous aluta spirit. Solidriy forever!!!!!!
