the priceread error is inadvertent and its android touch pad error. unless you are smarter the device will mess you up. At times I quickly modify my post after reading over and I notice such error.

this does not suggest I don't pass olevel English or use of English in the university.

Does not suggest that I didn't , or I did not. That's not Android's fault grin

The OP, maybe pro GEJ. I don't know and I don't care. But if you insist that his account is not as it is, then counter it with pictures and videos.

why trying to bully the guy,this is not a professional forum where English is of importance once you get the import of the message forget the grammar.

It is a common trend in a social media like this for post to be made in slangs and abbreviated text form and besides the androids phone devices do play a smart one on us if you are not observant your rightly typed words are replaced. so I don't see the cry about grammar here, its common among younger folks of university age to use slangs and abbreviated text as a means of expression which I as an adult have to come to terms with while chatting with this age group on social online platforms.
I have come to learn this:
sup = what's up
rep = represents
and many of such short form of expressions so why trying to hammer the guy as disgrace to Oau? take the message and leave the grammar

guy, its not only about abbreviations and typographical error. read carefully the construction of each sentence and tenses used. He claimed to be a student, let him write as one. He should be humble enough to take corrections.

He should have been told that OAU is the last place where a failed government will be celebrated.
Obasanjo and Ribadu has experience such,so bro Jona is not a super human that can turn great ife students to coward.
Unbelievable. When Prof. Omole increased the fees people said all sorts of things, and yet, no one has ever had the stuguts to boo him on many occassions that they see him. If u cannot boo Prof. Omole, no one has the right to boo His Excellency. Whether OAU students like it or not - he's the president and a president must be respected.

As an ex-student of Great Ife, this is my conclusion from all accounts I have read.

1, Yes, there were protests and booing but it was not by the majority of students.

2, Majority of students were more interested in sighting the president than in protesting.

3, The Students Union did the right thing by presenting that letter. Moral suasion is acceptable form of engagement anywhere in the world.

4, While there is nothing wrong in Union leaders taking photograph with the President, even if you don't agree with his policies, especially on an occasion that is rare like that, what is wrong is the demeanour of the leaders as they were seen in the picture: opening their whole 32 and giving impression that were overawed by the opportunity. It doesn't speak well of Union Leaders of Great Ife, if anyone knows the history of Great Ife. Bamidele Aturu, a former Great Ife student union leader, refused to shake Military Governor Lawan Gwadabe on his POP day as his protest against military in 1988 when he did his NYSC in the state. This is the stuff of Ife Union leaders.

5, All accounts are correct: there were demonstration and chanting of ole by not-so-many students and there were those that wanted to see the President and didn't care about protest.

6, The Student Union leaders were only trying to be politically correct or not wanting anyone to pour sand into their Garri or believed such report could (especially carried by SR) could be counterproductive to their letter, with their press release that said those that protested were sponsored or were not students.

Why exactly were students angry?

This was d same way UNIZIK students stoned Obasanjo when he visited Anambra state during his firts tenure. Security aids to Obasanjo shut a student who died on d spot. The Road leading to the Campus and the Enugu-Awka-Onitsha Express road was block by students who sat on the ground. Mean while Jonathan is more civil in approaching than OBJ.

Jesus! And you say you are a student in OAU with this kind of grammar?

Has OAU been so brutalized as to accommodate students like you?
Hope it wasn't GEJ that also made you to speak and write poorly?

Bros do yourself a favour, get what the best in OAU teach you. The legacy will be with you long after GEJ has gone from power.

sorry, your English is so bad, I can barely understand what you wrote.
it's not your fault, you are just a product of Nigeria's failed educational system.
if you want quality education, be ready to pay for it, cheap and quality don't go hand in hand
stop fighting for cheap and quality education, cause it is not realistic.

don't get me wrong, cause I don't like GEJ either
U are wrong, cheap and quality education can go hand in hand... It had happened in Nigeria before during the period of Awo. U should also make research about Germany educational system; one of the best, yet still cheap.

I won't be surprise if the Students' Union President, Isaac Ibikunle is impeached. He has forgotten we are in a jet age, where videos could be recorded and posted at the spot, else I see no reason why he should be telling lies. I see the students holding an emergency congress at the end of their harmattan semester examination.

Obasanjo,Ribadu,Bayo Ojo(SAN) and lots of them has been booed by OAU students in the past,so if Jonathan come tomorrow,we'll do the same. We don't welcome oppressor here. Obansanjo was booed in 1999 and also in 2002 when a particular student walked up to him and warned him never to recontest in 2003 but he did. lo,he gave the student that warned not to recontest 2003 election an appointment in the federal level when he won the election but he(obasanjo) dodge every appointment that could bring him to OAU campus before he left office.
so bro,bro Jona's case is indifferent.
