It is mentality like this that limits us as individuals and a nation.
Zuriel chose to be different as a person not because of her educational advantage as you call it.
There are Nigerians in Nigeria making exploits against all odds.
We should not see the negativity we are surrounded by but pride ourselves in everything positive Nigeria has to offer which ironically is what the documentary is about.

So yes, I bet Zuriel would still be where she is today even if she were Nigerian born.

It is not all about The Mentality alone, it is more about the numbers in the end, it is always about the numbers.. Yes she made a choice but let us look at Jamaica for instance.. a little over 2 million people and yet they managed to do 10 gold medals over Nigeria's 190 milion people with 0 gold medals. It is an indication that we have not done well with the Social and Economic Infrastructure. Yes people like Zuriel, 2Face, SeunOsewa etc are all bright examples of what you can achieve against the odds.. but really it is a drop of sand in the ocean.. we are not doing something right and you cannot expect the horde of Nigerians to fight against the odds to make an opportunity out of nothing when there is no enabler for them to leverage on. It is one oft ignored fact we as Nigerians make.. we see a Chimamanda and yea she is an icon- we should have 2,000 of chimamandas in the making. i am just saying it is good to have such icons and celebrate them.. but even more we should encourage the teeming millions to reach greater heights.
