Give a gift of life this Christmas! On my last day on the movie set in Abuja, I went to the National Blood Transfusion service in to donate a pint of blood. It was so fulfilling and rewarding and I felt like a hero. I was giving someone life! It's important to donate blood cos you never know, the life you save, might even be yours! It could save a pregnant woman, an accident victim, a very sick person or even 4 kids! If you can't give gold or silver, give blood! It's more precious!

You donate for free and they go about selling your blood to patients. ........... I will only donate if the recipient is present and ready to receive it immediately.

The only reason I will not donate my blood is because- "the patient who need it will have to buy it. Too bad."

I am O-ve. universal donor and rare I suppose. I have blood to donate.
Done it before in a church but I prefer specific. If I go to a general blood bank, how am I sure it is not sold to somebody else, when I gave for free. People buy blood in many cases.
Just my thought on paper/ black and white!
