Fernando Torres is "very happy" about the prospect of returning to Atletico Madrid next month, his brother has said. Torres, 30, has been on loan at AC Milan this season and Chelsea announced on Saturday that a deal is now agreed for the Spaniard to join the Rossoneri on a permanent deal from Jan. 5. However, it appears Milan sanctioned the permanent transfer so that they can use Torres as part of an exchange deal for Atletico's Alessio Cerci, who, according to AS and Sky Sport Italia, has now agreed to join the Italian club. Marca quotes Israel Torres, Fernando's brother, as saying the striker is "very happy and excited" about the "opportunity" to return to Atletico, where he had starred until his 2007 move to Liverpool. AS also quoted Atletico assistant coach German Burgos as saying: "He'll be a great reinforcement for us in facing the second phase of the league campaign. We'll get the best out of him, as we do all our players at the club. He knows where he's heading." http://m.espn.go.com/soccer/story?storyId=2217806&top&wjb= Torres had been offloaded by his club Chelsea to AC Milan but he seems to be headed back to his former club Athletico Madrid under Coach Diego 'Cholo' Simeone. The twist here is that Torres and Cholo both played for Athletico Madrid with Torres as the latter's captain. If Torres goes back as a player and Cholo as his manager, would the two be able to work together without pride coming in their way? Has this happened in football history before? Pundits, analysts and experts, what's your take on this?

Its like Mourinho has been banbuzled, AC Milan initially rejected Torres by trying to terminate the loan contract by january, Diego simeon approched chelsea to loan Torres but agreement has not been reached yet only for AC Milan to go for a permanent transfer and will still loan him out to Atletico Madrid. Something is not clear here |
