I actually read the specs online, but couldn't find any information regarding the chipset. My assumption was based on the fact that most chinese companies use MTK. If it's snapdragon, then it must one of those old ones like the one found in Tecno N3.

This seems more plausible... Spreadtrum is cheaper than MTK, although it's not that common.

I believe 5mp, irrespective of the phone/price should be the same quality, ryt? I've taken pictures with phones of 5mp cameras or less, alongside the hot in the same place/time and they performed a bit better. That's why I said I wasn't really impressed with its camera performance. No hard feelings for the device tho, just my opinion. cheers!

To be sure of what chipset/processor powers ur phone, you could download and install certain apps that helps to check hardwares present in ur phone.
Those i've used and can do that are:androsensor, cpu/ram/device identifier and cpu z....we av others. Simply get them from playstore or google search them...
Most itel and other cheap chinese droids comes with SPREADTRUM, i repeat.... SPREADTRUM!.

real tecnos run either qualcomm or mediatek. However, their latest wonderful flagship all runs on mediatek (mtk). tecno n3, t3 and the p3 runs qualcomm...
Mediatek processors are easily tweaked (not in terms of custom rom anyway) unlike spreadtrum,allwinners, qualcomm among others...
Perhaps, this explains why u culd not change ur imei for those with devices running spreadtrum et al. MOBILE UNCLE is developed with Mediatek in mind. U should therefore google search for other means of changing ur imei on non-mtk phones.
