MODS : permit me to drop ds here,I don't have a diary  but i wish to share this with ds fam  .~~Its a long read, but believe me...Its worth every second !! ~~A BEAUTIFUL PIECE TO THE MOST WONDERFUL WOMAN I KNOW Assuming it was possible to switch roles right from the beginning. As in, God gives the children the privilege to choose their parents and not the other way around... Assuming it was a child's choice to decide through whom he was going to enter this beautiful world... (hmmm... I can sense you are thinking deep already *smiles*) Please, join me as I take you on a brief tour through my mind... the way I think it would feel like if I was actually given the privilege to choose my mum (yeah! you guessed right; my MUM )(Disclaimer: The following events likely took place in the great beyond between my pre-earth self and God) ...It was a very long queue and I could hardly see above the sea of little heads blocking my view. We were all joyous as we knew why we were there. The air was filled with melodious songs (an angelic atmosphere indeed) and in a long while that seemed like an instant I was in front (a second here is like a thousand years we usually say). The man in front smiled broadly as He led me by the hand into a bright room. The ceiling was like swinging clouds that made music whenever they touched (the view was WOW!). The room was bare but just like magic, two seats and a very big screen materialized from thin air. I wasn't fazed at all because it was norm for us to have whatever we asked for according to His will (all things are possible was our popular slogan). We carefully took seats side by side as though previously rehearsed and in the same moment, the screen came to life. It had an image of a big blue globe gently spinning and small buttons at the bottom that responded to touch (please pardon me to call it a touch screen). He turned to me and with the same knowing smile said... "Welcome to the SELECTION!"... I couldn't hide my joy and so let out a big shout which sent us both into a laughing frenzy (yeah! His laugh was majestic). I had waited a long while for this day... it was finally here and I was eager to choose. A form appeared on the screen as though summoned. It had lot of fields which I audibly selected and He carefully punched in my choice. My selection was as follows; For Colour I chose "Royal brown" Smile "Radiant" Laugh "Loud" Carriage "Confident" Height "Above average" Voice "Bold" (The angels could handle the music, didn't want her to bother *smiles*) Passion "Love for God and People" Talent "Everything" Skills "All of them" Legs "Strong" (now I wish I chose straight too *laughs*) Heart "Caring, Loving, faithful, devoted, sacrificial, peaceful, generous, joyous... (The options were endless and I patiently chose all) We ticked a few more fields and finally He asked in His soft still voice; "Please, choose a name?"... I quickly replied "I want something that's funky yet cool, a name that ends with a 'ca'...". He balanced His chin on His fingers as though thinking and said; "veronica should do". I was in love with the name at once. "veronica it is" He said as He punched in the name on the screen. He let out a deep sigh as He cracked His knuckles... We were finally done. He pressed a button labelled 'SEARCH' and the globe that was all the while covered by the form came forward. It made a rapid spin and then gradually slowed down... It zoomed into a region called Africa, did another zoom into Nigeria (or so it read), then zoomed again into Lagos (We both chorused the word "l-a-g-o-s" as soon as we saw it. It was fascinating I must say)... I peered into the screen but saw little figures going about their duties oblivious of my little exercise in the skies. He tapped me on my shoulder and said "Not so fast", I smiled as I again took my seat (I had jumped off of it unawares earlier). He swiped His fingers on the screen and there she was. The most amazing sight I have ever beheld. God! She was BEAUTIFUL!!! She was in her white work clothes, her royal brown face shining from the trickle of sweat that lined her smooth forehead. She was passionately walking up and down the ward filled with children. Though visibly stressed she was smiling still. I loved her instantly! Little drops of tears flowed down my chubby cheeks. He was on hand to wipe them off. I could sense tension in the room. I knew it was time (as that was the normal routine). I was going to miss this place and so was He going to miss me. His voice was shaky as He slowly said "ITS TIME TO MEET YOUR MOTHER"... ...and you all know the rest of the story. It’s been an awesome ride mum, everyday filled with awesomeness. The world ain't seen nothing yet 'cos we are just starting (#TeamProv.4:18). with love from the 'troublesome' Trio (Twty, Laplace and Lils). The Destined Boys! ...'twty. " kudos to my good friend Habuh-Rajan Jamil for coming out with the original piece .It was modified by tolu.
