Immigration Jobs: Oshiomhole Accuses
Jonathan, Abba Moro Of Defrauding
Nigerians
by LocalChamp: 10:59pm
Immigration Jobs: Oshiomhole accuses
Jonathan, Abba Moro, of defrauding Nigerians
January 20, 2015Mohammed Lere
The Edo State Governor, Adams
Oshiomhole, has accused the Federal
Government of defrauding unemployed
Nigerian youth of over N800 million in a
spurious employment deal.
The governor, who was addressing a rally of
the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Etsako
Local Government Area of the state, also
disputed claims by the Goodluck Jonathan
administration of creating three million jobs.
According to Mr. Oshiomhole, Nigerians cannot
point to any of their relations who have
benefited from the government’s policy on job
creation.
He, therefore, lampooned the Jonathan
administration of not being able to deliver on
promises he made to Nigerian electorate when
he sought their mandates in 2011.
After spending over $30 billion on power, he
said Nigerians still live in darkness while the
promise of constructing a second bridge across
the River Niger has not started despite billions
already spent on the project.
“They claim to have created three million jobs.
Among you people that are here, how many of
your brothers have got Federal Government
jobs. Over the years, government employment
is done based on rules,” Mr. Oshiomhole said.
“The PDP Federal Government cheated
unemployed people, poor youths. They used a
private consultancy firm to ask people to pay
one thousand naira to an account. Nigerian
rules are clear; you cannot collect money from
unemployed people looking for jobs.
“PDP wanted to make money even from people
who cannot take three square meals a day.
They collected over N800 million from
unemployed youths in the country. Nigeria has
to change. Have you ever heard where you do
interview in a stadium?
The governor lamented the deaths at the
Nigeria Immigrations Service, NIS, employment
saga and queried the government for failing to
punish those who were involved in the bloody
scam.
He lambasted the Minister of Interior,
Abba Moro, for going ahead to receive an
award of excellence after conducting the
fatal interview that claimed the lives of
Nigerian youth.
In saner climes, Mr. Oshiomhole argued
that the minister should have resigned and
turned himself in for prosecution.
He urged Nigerians not to support a
government that impoverishes the
citizenry and destroys the productive
sector through criminal importation policy
that enriches a few people.
He said, “They will import kerosene and
distribute it to their friends. We are
supposed to be buying kerosene at fifty
naira. They have spent over N200 billion
subsidizing kerosene for their own
pockets.
“So when we say they must go you need to
understand why we must vote out Jonathan.
The issue in this election is that we need a
President whose word is binding. As we speak,
we don’t have any pride when you say you are
a Nigerian.”
He called on Nigerians to demand explanations
from the Federal Government on how it spent
over $30 billion in the power sector without a
concomitant improvement in the sector.
Mr. Oshiomhole urged the people to vote for the
APC presidential candidate, Muhmmadu Buhari,
and APC candidates at all levels, saying an APC
Government will fight corruption, indiscipline
and insurgency.

There are always reasons for every actions taken....If GEJ refused giving the slots to those politicians....What makes u think they'll support his government? They'll not even want to vote him into power anymore...they same way he stopped adhering to OBJ's instructions and now OBJ was the first person to use the word cluelessness on GEJ!
.
.
This is his last term....if he's re-elected...he won't need anybody's assistance anymore and so....he'll definitely give u a job...if u believe!
.
.
Trust me...this is politics and GEJ will ensure that every graduated non-employed will be employ...
My Fellow Nigerians,Gentlemen and Ladies; For the sake of future generations, we should stop this campaign of personality assassination and focus on issue-based discussions such as; Diversification of our economy; Devolution of power and bring development to the grass root by amending our constitution because FGN has been saddled with huge responsibilities in the Constitution; Fixing our refineries to produce petroleum products locally and stop importation of fuel and embark on radical gas-to- power project and step up our energy mix to jump start the productive sector to generate employment; Entrench Rule of Law in our governance to curb impunities and corruption; Redistribution of wealth via increase in minimum wage and reduction of abnormal maximum wage as being seeing in the salaries of our legislators, excessive administrative costs of governance in Nigeria and let Comity of Nations see us a serious a Country; furthermore, if necessary let's operate part-time legislative arm of government and shrink the NASS to Single Camera House; Review extant laws to create enabling, safe and assured environment for private sector participation in infra-investment projects- all these require a sincere party that is not poverty-of-ideas ridden with an upright leader like Lee Quan Yu of Singapore. These are what PDP government had failed to do woefully in the last 16 years- this is the meaning of Global slogan call "CHANGE" - Change is not about BUHARI neither is it about JONATHAN , BUT switching over to "to a large extent" a seemingly credible Opposition party as it is the practice in civilised world to fortify our political party system and send signals that Electorates have choice to make if a particular party is not adhering to the. "Tenets of Good Corporate Governance" as PDP demonstrated with absolute impunities in the last 16 years!!!. So for God sake and for the sake of future Generations, Nigerians should not get themselves engaged in campaign of personality character assassination and useless dancing at political rallies- each time I watch the present day campaign rallies, my heart bleeds when I see Nigerians dancing and singing in poverty - which is part of antics of the crop of present political jobbers - the "so called present politicians" - a national shame!!!. For those of us that were opportuned to witness Chief Awolowo's, Chief Nnamdi Azikuwe's, Sir Abubakar Ahmadu Bello'. Campaign Rallies ( all of the blessed memories) - it was like you were in a political classroom, yes. But what do you see today at rallies- dancing, mudslinging, vulgar pronunciation, display of adult rascalit; thereby brutalising the sensibilities of coming generations that politics is all about war- this is why my Heart bleeds. So fellow Nigerians let's pip into what is happening in the civilised World and ask the contestants pertinent questions- I am not a card carrier of any of the political parties- these are my thoughts after my today's meditations - thank you and God bless Nigeria - a concerned citizen of Nigeria in Abuja- please let's make the broadcast to all Nigerians, thank you.
