I have recently come across series and series of requests both online and offline on how to deactivate MTN'S CNN BREAKING NEWS update.
This service from MTN takes up N50 which is a whole lot of airtime credit. The annoying part is that when you subscribe initially, on one, I repeat, no one; including MTN tells you about the hidden charges. I've got good news for you though!

u jst av 2 call their customer care on this particular issue., I did unsubscribe mine 2days bck., I called their customer care n they did it 4 me., they won't tell u d code.., they will jst unsubscribe it from their station.., so I will advice u call them

problem solved. just decided to send UCFC to 700 and it worked.
