Yeah, I know exactly what you mean..not sure what those spices are called in English but these are what I used with dried pepper...

We call the long, black spice in Isoko "Ereren" and the hard nuts "Ewhoren".

And yep, the cute plates in there are for little madam.

I can't drink garri with milk. Tufia.

I used to do that myself, but not anymore. Not sure about giving it raw to your baby. Why not boil it first for the child? It tastes even better that way...

I actually prefer the cold to when it's hot.

As long as your home is kept nice and cosily warm, then it's the best in my opinion. The spring/summer comes with it's own wahala, chief culprit being hayfever.
