Enyimba beat Buffles du Borgu from Benin Republic Sunday in a CAF Champions League preliminary round match at home.

The Nigerian club led 1-0 by half time through former Nigeria U20 star Daniel Etor in the eighth minute.

In the second half, ‘The People’s Elephant’ scored two more goals.

Midfielder Kingsley Sokari made it 2-0 for Enyimba in the 85th minute, before Peter Onyekachi, newly signed from Abia Warriors, completed the scoring in the 90th minute after he missed several clear-cut chances.

Last season’s goal king Mfon Udoh was not listed for this match by Enyimba.
